I can’t say I was expecting live footage as the video for one of the hottest tracks of 2011/2012, but in actuality, this represents the song to a T. Watching this Hit-Boy produced gem undulate the crowd will do one of three things; a.) prompt an epileptic seizure b.) give you goosebumps from the sheer thought of being at this concert c.) infuriate you because Jay and Ye have infinitely more swag than you. #Cray

Videos | Ryan Leslie- Good Girl
Posted by GMONEY on December 26, 2011
Just a few months ago, a behind-the-scenes production leaked of Kanye West and Jay-Z’s creative process while making, “Watch The Throne.” in Wiltshire, England. While others were watching Kanye and Jay’s every move, I was looking at the other players in the room. Among them were Russell Crow, Beyonce, and Young Guru. Interestingly enough, however, I spotted Ryan Leslie in the video as well.
Last week, Ryan Leslie sat down with AllHipHop.com, and said that while in England, he had the opportunity to sit in on the “Watch The Throne” sessions and was heavily inspired by what he saw. It’s no surprise now, that Ryan is making this kind of music. He has struggled to find his own lane as an artist for years now. The quality of his production, however, has never been in question. Last night, he dropped the third of ten video that will make up the “Les Is More” visual album. It’s a champagne-laden track that has shades of Drake and Kanye West in it. The gold jewelry, black aristocracy lines, the whole nine.
The video was not received well by his fans, and in typical Ryan Leslie fashion, he issued a detailed response to those who had negative things to say about the video in question. I’m on the fence. I think it’s good that Ryan Leslie is getting edgier. He needs to evolve. If he doesn’t, he risks no longer being relevant. I can’t make up my mind on this one, so I’d like you to make it up for me. Leave me your thoughts in the comment section below. Should Ryan Leslie continue in this lane, or should he go back to his old neo-soul-I-made-a-perfect-SAT-grade-and-went-to-harvard image?
Hip-Hop | Kid Cudi – To Da Top
Posted by GMONEY on November 7, 2011
Here’s an unreleased track from Kid Cudi, titled “To Da Top” that serves as proof to the rumors that Kid Cudi was behind the genius phrase, “That Shit Cray”, which Kanye West uses in the hit single, N***** In Paris, off Watch The Throne. It takes a minute or so for the track to get going, but once it does Kid Cudi does his thing.

Hip-Hop, Videos | Chris Brown ft. T-Pain – Ni**as In Paris (Music Video)

The Hit-BoyKanye West/Mike Dean/Anthony Kilhoffer produced track off Ye & Jay’s Watch The Throne album is quickly becoming the most remixed track in the game, largely due to the fact the beat is just flat out filthy. We just saw T.I. give it a go and now rnb-turned rap stars Chris Brown and T-Pain let loose on the track. Well, in reality, it’s only Breezy who works this beat and T-Pain pulls a DJ Khaled and does some high paid shit talking and chirping at the end. Breezy is still by far a better singer than he is rapper, but he’s definitely progressing with his quick delivery.

Electro, Hip-Hop | Jay Fresh- Otis (SuperVision Remix)
Posted by GMONEY on August 24, 2011
Jordan Michael Johnson, better known as Jay Fresh, is a hip-hop artist coming out of the indie music scene in Dallas. His compositions are mixtures of eclectic electronic beats with hip-hop overtones and while his style has been described by some as “eclectic modern hip-hop,” his appeal is increasingly defined by a more thoughtful focus on the lyrical.
In the past year, Jay has become a notable fixture among the Dallas live music scene – opening for artists such as: LMFAO, Wale, The Cool Kids, Mac Miller, Yelawolf, Big Krit and Trae The Truth. Jay recently teamed up with producer SuperVision (whose currently in the Pretty Lights camp), to create this original electronic remix of the Jay-Z/Kanye West’s original “Watch The Throne” cut.
I know what you’re thinking, not another “Otis” remix. Believe me, I wouldn’t have featured this if I didn’t think it wasn’t worth your time. Be sure to follow Jay on his journey via Facebook and Twitter, as he continues to make quality music and put the city of Dallas on his back. I have a feeling Jay Fresh may just be the blogosphere’s next big artist.

Coming off of the upcoming collaboration album, “Watch The Throne.” The two heavy hitters, Mr. West and Jay-Z bring down the house on this one. The track features a sample from an American soul singer by the name of Otis Redding, hence the name of the song. Sound off in the comments, what are your thoughts on the duo?
