One word: Wow. Illenium has been teasing us with a few tracks from his debut album, Ashes and it was worth the wait! This album is so dynamic, from nasty drops to chilled out tracks…you’ll catch yourself wondering if you’re listening to Illenium or Brett Dennen. I could keep going on and on but I’ll let you check it out for yourself. Huge props to this kid – can’t wait to see what’s next!

Abrasive, gritty, and ruthless are all adjectives that can describe Virginia Beach native, DP’s newest release. After an extended hiatus, DP is back like he never left. “Wait” clocks in at just under two minutes, packed to the brim with raw rapping. What the song lacks in a chorus, it makes up with in lyricism.

We rarely get to hear new work from Swedish producer Otto Knows, but every time we do, it’s worth the wait. His newest track “Next To Me” proves that point perfectly. An awesome vocal track by Simon Strömstedt can be heard throughout the song which has a nice feel good melody that slowly builds up with strings until it drops into a dance track that is impossible to ignore. This is going to be one of the songs that is remixed and sampled a lot by various artists this festival season. Give this track a listen and if you like it follow the buy link below to pick it up.

This is what it’s all about. There is nothing we love more than when a classic hip hop track gets the fresh make over it’s needed. This is one of those you’ll have stuck on repeat. I don’t recall the last time I heard a Fat Joe remix, but this one by Taylor Wise was well worth the wait. Giving it a nice pop twist with tropical vibes, Taylor Wise perfectly reworks the beat while working with Fat Joe’s rap verses, and brings in a super smooth chorus complemented by Ashanti’s lovely vocals. Winters over and festival season is nearly here. That means beautiful girls, prime weather, and plenty of high quality remixes made just for those wild DJ sets I’ve been waiting all winter for. Luckily Chris Lake and Matroda have teamed up to bring us exactly that with this remix of SNBRN’s hit single “California”. I’m Canadian and I’ve never been to the Golden State, but if I was to ask for some audio-visual perspectives I can only imagine that La+ch’s beach-inspired ‘California’ fits the bill. Previews from his album, set for release Tuesday, March 31st, 2015 are matched by his single releases as they have consistently showcased quality productions that have me very excited. Having us wishing for days of California beaches and good vibes, give ‘California’ a spin and come away with La+ch as we wait for the full album on its way.
