Indie, RnB, Videos | Jon Bellion – New York Soul

Jon Bellion takes a step back to reflect on the spectrum of life. The object being tugged by two forces; family and fame. As Jon’s presence builds, so does the pressure from surrounding socialites. “New York Soul” tells just that. A mellow, piano driven production by Jon himself provides the foundation for his soulful moving script. GRVTY is once again the wizard behind the lens, directing a simple, but very powerful visual representation.
No download yet, but be patient as Jon has promised an album before year end!

“What up to VMG, ya bish?” – QuESt
If you’ve been following Logic, the VMG movement, and the openers on the tour, you may have become familiar with Miami, FL rhymer, QuESt. QuESt is by no means a new artist to FNT, but he’s been diagnosed with “the skill” and will be the next artist to receive the “VMG treatment”.
QuESt has been patiently waiting behind the scenes, working, learning, anticipating his first move with the independent label that recently birthed Logic, Jon Bellion, 6ix, and GRVTY. Returning with his first video single, “NEATO Season” over Childish Gambino’s “Unnecessary”, Q carries his newly acquired torch as he sets forth on his new episode, spitting flaming metaphors and bars packed with intellect. NEATO; wondering what it is? Never Ever Allow The Obscene. The movement QuESt stands behind, the movement you will soon be following (if you aren’t already). Enjoy this video and stay on your toes for much more to come from the next up.

Featured, Hip-Hop, Mixtapes | Logic – Young Sinatra: Welcome to Forever [Mixtape]
Posted by Grubeats on May 7, 2013
It’s been one hell of a year for Visionary Music Group/Def Jam crooner, Logic. When you’re junior mixtape exceeds 500,000 downloads in a short years time, it’s not easy to maintain the same charisma, confidence, and quality and delivery it cohesively in a full bodied 20 track mixtape. Logic is that minority statistic, disproving critics that were convinced a major deal would lead to “sell out records”. Young Sinatra: Welcome to Forever epitomizes the intersection of fluent lyricism and major mainstream production. Yes, he signed to Def Jam, but it should be noted that his core is still VMG. Logic has not changed. The team has not changed. The music has not digressed. The bank account….may have gained a few fruitful commas.
“Everybody talk about logic, no sell out
Bitch I had a deal for you before it fell out” – Logic (Tim Westwood Freestyle)
I’d give you a track by track analysis of this project, but quite honestly if I committed to that, I would be sitting here for more hours than I have. Ultimately, I’m a fan just like you. We share the same passion when listening to the music. From here I can only hope those who haven’t opened their ears to Logic do just that. Listen. I won’t tell you to play this record or play that record because it’s all personal preference. The substance and depth is consistent track to track. Yes, there are some notable features, but to be quite honest, Logic outshines them all. Enjoy the music, you’re witnesses the come up of a legendary figure.

After landing one of the last spots in this years XXL Freshman Top 10, Maryland hot spitter Logic drops off his newest single off his highly anticipated mixtape, Young Sinatra: Welcome to Forever. It’s been a glorious few weeks for Logic fans. Showers of new content. After wrapping up his first European tour Logic x GRVTY presented the newest episode of Just Another Day: Europe, we saw Logic’s XXL Freshman solo feature, the face of Visionary Music Group announced he had signed a major deal with Def Jam Recordings (empowered to still make the music he wants to make), he obliterates one of Outkast’s most legendary records (paying respect to the legends) on his new single “Roll Call”, and most recently shares his studio session at Tim Westwood’s crib in London where he takes lyricism to a new level. In a nutshell, Logic’s non-stop grind is steadily spilling out of the studio into the ears of his fans. With his forthcoming mixtape, Young Sinatra: Welcome to Forever, dropping on May 7, Logic is about two months away from being “THAT DUDE” in hip-hop.
Oh, I forgot to mention he also announced another nationwide tour beginning this May. Grab your tickets before they sell out.

Ahh, the wonder years. When your biggest concern was whether you’re going to have your PB&J cut into halves or quarters. When having a tough day at work meant going 1-4 in your kickball game at recess. Our friend Jon Bellion releases his newest set of GRVTY visuals leading up to the release of Translations Through Speakers, due late this month. Jon reflects on childhood memories during “The Wonder Years”, pointing out the simple things that made life so enjoyable growing up. Sure, being an adult is great for many reasons, but we will always feel that itch to relive the greatest care free years of our lives.
P.S. Anyone catch _ _ _ _ _ in this video? #VMG
Hip-Hop, Videos | Logic – Just Another Day Episode 12 [Video]

You just got VMG’d.
More than halfway through his 25-city, nationwide tour, Logic shares with us the newest installment of tour life inJust Another Day Episode 12. He is not only selling out venues across the country, he is taking independent music to an entirely new level. Seeing Logic live is more than a concert, it’s an experience. No two shows are the same which is made evident in this video. Have you ever seen an artist pause his set to pick up the phone of a kid in the audience to talk to his buddy on the other end, asking why he didn’t make it to the show? Doubtful. You’re experiencing the birth of a star. Other than the dude in the San Fran pullover showcasing his vocals outside the Mac N’ Cheese shop, very few can keep up in the lane Logic’s currently cruising in. Hip-Hop | Tayyib Ali – Dreaming (Prod. by The Astronauts)
Posted by Grubeats on June 13, 2012
With his head high, Tayyib has been very eager to give his fans what they want. New music. Linking up with one of his top production duo’s, The Astronauts, Tay releases the latest single off his third coming mixtape. In the past they have collaborated on “High Definition”, “Tomorrow”, and “Never Change” and I think it’s safe to say we can expect more work in the near future. Tay spit me some of these bars acapella back when I interviewed him in Boston and I’ve been waiting for the final product ever since. Although the prince of Philly still has a way to go to be where he ultimately see’s himself, he’s got the demeanor and potential to make it there.
In other news, Tayyib and label-mate, Logic, are preparing to kick off their first even nationwide tour on July 7th, presented by Visionary Music Group. There’s no reason why you shouldn’t grab your tickets now! Full details after the break.
