It is getting warm out, so that means sundresses, sunglasses, shorts, spring break, patio drinks and of course Viceroy remixes. His remixes epitomize the summertime all the time mentality, and this one is no different. Taking full advantage of the funky groove of the original and the vocals from the Bixel Boys, Viceroy adds a smooth piano melody and his signature island flare that makes this a must add to your outdoor, spring / summer playlist. The boys over at Solé Bicycles are back at it again with another installment of their monthly Fixtape series. For those of you who aren’t familiar with Solé, they’re a visionary lifestyle brand based in Venice, CA that specializes in fixed gear bicycles. These bikes are definitely worth checking out so don’t sleep on them and keep your eyes peeled for a custom FNT Solé bike which will be released shortly (right Brian Ruben?) This month’s mixtape was crafted by LA’s own Goldroom who provides a sound like nothing we’ve posted before. It’s different, but it’s fantastic…do yourself a favor and just sit back and start a relationship with this sensual mix for the next hour (tracklist after the jump).

It is the last day of summer with the Fall Equinox marking the official start of Autumn tomorrow, so go outside and soak it up before it is gone. The temperatures are still warm and the sun is still shining for many of us, thus Viceroy’s summer vibes are just the treatment you need to send off summer into the colorful flavors of Autumn. His edit of this Talking Heads track adds the signature Viceroy flavor, while keeping much of what there is to love from the original. Also included is an hour long mix from Viceroy that he did for Vita Tapes as the start of a series he is doing with them that will be a great refresher with disco, funk, and smooth house, calling upon a whole variety of artists. Summer may be winding down for many of you, but its carefree spirit lives on year round. Viceroy’s sound embodies that ideal with the smooth, island feel that he endows his tracks. Coming all the way from his unpolished Dj Philistine days, Viceroy has broken through and is headed on the path to steady success with his unique sound that stands out in an increasingly crowded American dance music community. While this may have a bit more of an indie dance feel than his “Jet-Life” remixes, this is still a superb remix from the young San Francisco producer / DJ.
