Summetimer never ends with Viceroy! This Saturday Oct. 15th, the Sultan of Summer is sailing off into the sunset one last time before the end of the year with all his friends. It’s not one to miss.
This is the fourth installment of Wicked Delight at Sea brought to you by LA’s legends, Wicked Paradise & Afternoon Delight, who have hosted the likes of Goldroom, Soulection, and Bixel Boys on their last three excursions. With another all-star lineup, including Travis Wild, Matt DiMona from Next Wave, Dancing Pineapple’s very own N2N, Matt Black, Sam Hiller, and AROD, this is the perfect yacht party to rap up the year. Many moons ago, we had the opportunity to catch a Jessie Andrews set at SISU in Dallas at the urging of our friend and summer time authority Viceroy. We were pleasantly surprised. We even went for ice cream after but that’s for another time. This new “In Motion” effort from Jessie is solid body of work. Engineered by OWSLA’s Nick Thayer and recorded in North Melbourne, “In Motion” is simple but manages to cut through the clutter with groovy beats and feel good vibes proving sometimes simple is best. Jessie Andrews’s “In Motion” is avaiable on Beatport via ZIVS November 15th. Pick that up.

It sticks to his summertime, all the time attitude, to music adding and laidback electronic flavor to this indie original from Strange Talk. It may be getting cold outside in the Northern Hemisphere, but that does not mean the tunes have to reflect the falling temperatures.

Bixel Boys bring the funk! So dirty, I would be surprised if these tracks don’t get played at TomorrowWorld. The boys have been receiving support from Fedde Le Grand, Viceroy and Goldroom, whom have been praising their groovy dark innovative sound. If I were to describe their 2 track EP Black December which includes “Black December” and “Red October,” I would say they’re a mix of deep house, trap, and funk, but one thing’s for certain you’ve never heard something like this before. Allow me to introduce to you, Warm Air, a three-part series by yours truly that will coincide with the rise and fall of your sweet summer season.
