Hip-Hop, Videos | I.O.U. – Lovely People (Video)
Posted by J_Salzer on June 17, 2012
I know this is a little late. But I’ve owed I.O.U. a post for a while. I enjoyed their first mixtape, said I would post it, and then totally forgot about. Then enjoyed this video, and totally forgot to post it. So I hope this post can win me back the favor of the northern duo of I.O.U. Choosing an interesting Beatles sample, the rap-rap duo of I.O.U. create something special with this J-Kill filmed piece. The first verse starts at around :45 seconds, and then is slowly and smoothly delivered by the first half of I.O.U, Andrew Buckner. It is then taken over by the other half of the two man team, Isaiah McNeill, delivering a much more thought-provoking – but still keeping the slow and smooth style, verse. Just take a second(or 3 minutes) out of your day to check out these two lovely people.

Hip-Hop | Asher Roth ft. Meek Mill – Party Girl
Posted by J_Salzer on April 20, 2012
Mr. Pabst and Jazz hits us with his newest collaboration with Mr. Dreamchaser(Meek Mill). A classic Asher Roth beat, with heavy synth and deep lyrics delivered slowly so we can keep up with his wittiness. Meek provides a nice change of pace with a faster paced verse, making this the perfect collaboration. Stream below and be on the lookout for the song dropping on iTunes today.
Videos | Drake- A Little Favour (Freestyle)
Posted by A on March 20, 2012
During a photoshoot for his second GQ magazine cover, Drake spits a brand new, never before heard verse for the cameras.
“Diamonds hang around my neck, the crib is all finished. No love for these bitches I said this year it’s all business. It is a shame that a couple of ‘em are off limits. No offence to my nigga, it’s just the industry is small. We all lust for the same women. You know the ones we saw before we came in it. I know he aint trippin’. I know I got a couple things that Lil’ Wayne dipped in. Aint ashamed to admit it, I be the same with it. This shit is all about hits and misses. The ones that you f-ck and the ones that you wife up. Don’t let them fuck your life up. Half a mill to perform, I can’t let them fuck that shit up. Plus I love the way my middle name looks when it’s lit up. Jim Moore got me dressing like a leading man. A little favour for a friend when I need a hand. Young Frank, suits cut right always. Just got a couple Warhol’s for my hallways. New verses crush the hood like I’m driving into something. Bitches on the kid like I’m Iverson of something. Like a Sixer, since I sold 680 in my first. Drizzy Drake, the only one that got the gift without the curse. Swag.”
Obviously written, but interesting nonetheless. Still can’t get over the fact that he openly admits to “double-dipping” Lil Wayne’s love interests. I can’t imagine the venereal diseases Wayne has acquired.
Hip-Hop | Domo Genesis – Ground Up (feat. Wiz Khalifa)
Posted by dshaq on February 9, 2012
Two of the biggest potheads linked up to make this track. I was expecting more of an ultra laid back beat with a 70s sample but instead we get this, a more upbeat song with a catchy synth. Very impressive verse by Domo, who I’m excited to hear more of, and just some usual quality bars by Wiz. Dope track, grab it and look for Domo’s mixtape later on.
Girl Fire, Pop | Dev ft. Timbaland-Don’t Hurt
Posted by ATexas on January 18, 2012
This is Far-East-Movement-meets-Kreayshawn with a verse drop by Timbaland. Definitely the most unfinished sound Dev has released, but I can see it catching on to main stream charts. I didn’t like it the first (or second) time I heard it, but by the third time I was beep booping to the beat, like embarrassing hairbrush in front of the mirror beep booping.
