Dubstep | MNRS – Arms (Virtual Riot Remix)
Posted by BP on September 9, 2013
I’m sure some of you heard some of the other remixes of “Arms” by MNRS by Olugbenga and Cats Hero many months ago, and now 19 year old German producer Virtual Riot has put out his version for MNRS’s “Arms (Single & Remixes)” EP official release this last week! Virtual Riot was the only one to take a dubstep spin on the track, and his exciting, bass-filled version is such a fun listen. It keeps the cool indie pop vibes of the original while adding the deep bass and growls us dubstep lovers crave. The EP is now available on US, UK, and German iTunes!

Chill | Bondax – Giving It All (French Kiwi Juice Remix)
Posted by VMan on August 24, 2013
French Kiwi Juice is that dude, anything he remixes, you can be sure is going to hit the spot! With that said, the producers from the UK, Bondax, called upon his services to remix this gem “Giving It All.” The drop around 40 seconds has that signature French Kiwi Juice feel, with a funky bass, and a light guitar layered with soulful vocals. If you’re looking for that cool track for your Saturday, we got you. Unfortunately no free download for this one, but stream at will. This track reminds me a bit of Kendrick Lamar’s “Poetic Justice,” let me know if you hear it.
And if you’re just getting acquainted with the French producer, listen to this tune “So Much To Me,” you’re going to be converted!
Bass, Chill | The Echo – Find A Way (Knightley Remix)
Posted by VMan on August 17, 2013
A good friend of mine sent over this track by the UK group the Echo remixed by Knightley, “Find A Way” and it’s been on repeat all day. I had heard of them a few months back with their video “Responsible” and I was intrigued. They have a different sound then what else is out there, but it’s very refreshing. Peep this record, and make sure you check out their video for their titled track “Responsible”

Progressive House | Coldplay – Clocks (Jeter’s Fe5tival Rework)
Posted by Mel on August 1, 2013
You ever do a bit of meth, glance lustfully at the semi-nude drawing of Judge Judy you’re working on, go down to the mall and shake your head at high school kids holding hands, then return home to lie in bed for a few hours and eat cookies even though it’s like 3PM? Well that’s pretty much what my last couple of weeks has been so you can see why I haven’t posted anything (the site’s also been down for a bit but let’s just ignore that). There hasn’t been a song that I really felt compelled to post but even so, it’s been a while so I felt a little bad. So, I give you guys this. A progressive house remix of Coldplay’s “Clocks”. Jeter is the producer responsible for this remix and there is practically no information about him anywhere, except that he is a young lad from the UK. Ladies, the above photo excites you doesn’t it? That is the only picture I could find of him. He doesn’t have a logo or any artwork and judging by his perfectly done hair and seductive look, he’s very mysterious and cute. I know a Coldplay remix is somewhat lame but trust me, this one’s good. If you disagree then send Middy an email saying how much I suck. He will forward it to me and I will send you my top 10 Instagram finds of girls on vacation as an apology.
Chill | The 1975 – Me (T.H.I.E.F.S remix)
Posted by Mel on July 18, 2013
Seeing as how I have subconsciously taken my shirt off hours ago and instead of going to Bed Bath and Beyond to get my mom some new pillows after I accidentally spilled a bowl of steak marinade that I was mixing while on her bed I am now, and have been since it happened, hiding in my room, so it was the perfect time for me to have come across this song. T.H.I.E.F.S (great name btw) is a garage/chill/electronic producer from the UK. His latest remix is a bit different from his previous few releases. In this he has added a touch of house to his pleasant chillwave that he does so well and it works out great. I don’t really know how to further describe this track so I will leave you with this. If you were to slice up a lemon, toss it in the air, go and walk your dog, come back and go to bed, wake up, go to your kitchen, slip on it, then pick up a slice of the lemon, it would still be cleaner than the piece of lemon that was in my iced tea last night. Absolutely ridiculous. What was that waitress doing.

In case you were wondering what his chillwave sounded like..

Electro, Trap | Laura Mvula – Green Gardens (Djemba Djemba Remix)
Posted by mimada on June 27, 2013
I admire Djemba Djemba as an artist for introducing me to other artists that aren’t on my radar that very well should be. Before listening to this remix, I checked out the video for “Green Gardens” (above) which features Laura Mvula and company dancing around in parking lots and a mysterious forest wonderland at dusk. Both the song and the video are really beautiful, actually, as is Laura herself. What’s also awesome about Djemba Djemba’s remixes is that they don’t take away from the quality of the original version. In fact, this track hardly references “Green Gardens” other than a select few of the lyrics. However, Djemba Djemba maintains the same bright and empowering vibes that make the original so unique and makes them work in his own way.
I have to say though… As great as Laura Mvula’s dance party looks, I think Djemba Djemba’s green garden is where it’s at.
