Trap | Egzod “Don’t Surrender” Anticipated Arrival Mounted On Success of Past Revealed NCS-Signed ‘Revolution’ Singles

Posted by on September 22, 2020

Between the AAA gaming-like tier rendered videos taking over the creative direction, a clear positive shift in sound that’s easily more connected in many congruent ways, and a new look of sorts that shows he’s clearly putting in work that is on a new level, Egzod continues to define long term indie EDM success song right.

Energetically, the EP comes packed full with peaks and valleys beyond just the experience of the three songs individually. The order of the tracks on the EP themselves giving a clear indication that there’s something deeper to peel back with this experience.

The Revolution ft. Neoni
Mutiny ft. Wasiu
Don’t Surrender ft. EMM

The climax is unequivocally “Don’t Surrender ft. EMM,” the third and final vtrack in The Revolution EP going public Sept. 24th.

Until then, enjoy the second single that dropped earlier this month, available for listening above

Deep House | Tchami – Confessions #1

Posted by on August 22, 2014

Tchami dog coming in hot. He called it earlier this week, and he delivered. The enigmatic Parisian drops the first installment of his “Confessions” mix series. You know why Tchami wears a priest outfit to every single show he plays? Because future house is the new religion. This mix is spiritual.

Videos | Is This The Best DJ Performance Of All Time?

Posted by on February 26, 2014

Move over Hardwell, there’s a new sheriff in town. Earlier this month, a unknown DJ unleashed a hard style performance of epic proportions at the Dream Hack Talent Show in Borlange, Sweden. Although the DJ’s name a mystery, it’s safe to say that he’s the next big thing in “EDM”. Even the EDM Snob weighed in on the performance lauding his set as “truly groundbreaking. I can’t wait to make him a star.”

Perhaps most impressive about this DJ is that he’s able mix tracks not only with one hand on his laptop, but without a mixer! Just absolute unadulterated fire flames. When asked about his mixing ability, one fan in the crowd remarked, “his mixing transcends all space, time, and logic. If you ask me, I don’t think this is even his final form. There’s no doubt in my mind that his set will protect his virginity.”

While some in the blogosphere have been quick to criticize his performance, many supporters around the blogosphere are happy that this unknown DJ is finally pushing boundaries. As the great Andrew Smith once said, “people fear what they don’t understand and hate what they can’t conquer.” It’s safe to assume he won’t be conquered any time soon.

DJ-Set, Preview, Videos | Avicii live @ Super Glow DC Washington Armory

Posted by on November 27, 2011

I included the video at the show for what is being called “ID2” because it is so good and w8 already posted the now confirmed collaboration between Nicky Romero & Avicii, which is the first song in the set. Here is the 3 hour set from Avicii from the previous weekend at the DC Armory with a crowd of 10,000, put on by Glow DC. I have seen Avicii 3 times this year, looking forward to a fourth, and I would say this is an outstanding Avicii set by all measures. He plays a whole host of upcoming tracks by himself and others, as well as brand new releases from Alesso, Michael Calfan and many classics he has been playing for months. If you are a fan of Avicii, you will want to check out this 3 hour set from start to finish. Tracklist after the jump.

Dubstep, Mixtapes | Bassnectar – Colorstorm Mixtape

Posted by on September 11, 2011

Bassnectar is the king right now. His album,”Divergent Spectrum,” destroyed charts, and was a huge step forward for dubstep. At his show last night in San Diego, he gave out a secret link to this mixtape, which is supposed to drop this tuesday. It is a mix of a few of his older tracks, remixed and mashed, including a few new tracks, and even a few tracks from artists he works with. I also find it funny that Bassnectar just dropped a zip of 11 tracks compiled that he has previously released free. You can grab that one Here on Bassnectar’s website. Best part is the fact that Excision‘s new ‘album’ drops tomorrow, and it is amazing. Only proving Bassnectar as king of dubstep.
