Trance | ilan Bluestone – Big Ben EP
Posted by Middy on March 30, 2014

Anjunabeats revelation ilan Bluestone has released his three track EP, after “Big Ben” was premiered fittingly by Above & Beyond at Alexandria Palace in London for ABGT 50. The title track “Big Ben” may garner the most attention and pass the “anthem test” for most, but do not sleep on the rest of the EP. “Alysium” and “Waves Of LA” have the vintage ilan Bluestone sound with soaring synth driven melodies, fluttering piano and thumping basslines. We have had to endure all of this time with only one ilan Bluestone tune at a time, so we are spoiled getting three all at once.

Bass, Deep House | NVOY – Don’t Ever
Posted by mimada on March 30, 2014

With the arrival of springtime and summer a moment away on the horizon, it seemed inevitable that the UK house duo NVOY would provide us with something to cater to those vibes. While their previous releases have all been deep, club-appropriate bangers, this track is a much airier one that I envision myself hearing at some chic, rooftop, poolside day party in the upcoming months, full of trendy socialites with good taste in music and bottomless Aperol Spritz. But I mean, even if I still don’t get an invite to the party, I’m confident in the growing hype of NVOY, this track will still be spinning. Hold your breath for their first official release here soon!

Chill, Electronic | OYT – Now or Never
Posted by Nick on March 28, 2014

For those of you who have been on that Australian-sound grind (artists like Flume), then this track should be right up your alley. Even if you have no idea what I’m talking about, this bit is something for sure worth your attention. Coming all the way out from Estonia, the trio OYT, comprised of Busta, Sander Mölder, and S.I.N. has just released an incredibly chill tune, completely ready for your listening pleasure. For me at least, this has been a perfect freeway track, driving home late at night. If you liked it as much as I do, make sure to give these boys their deserved recognition by giving them a like or a follow on one of their social media outlets.

Hip-Hop | Tray Jack – Old School (Prod. The Watcherz) [Download]

So the main thing that’s been “bugging” me most about a vast majority of the music that’s been coming out over the past few months is that they all carry some serious summer vibes. The problem with that? Well, for us Northern Hemisphere people, these tunes act as some agonizing teasers of what’s coming next, and remind us of just how much of a bummer it is that we have to stay inside for at least another three months.
If you can stomach a good summer track right now, though, I highly recommend hitting up this brand new release from Tray Jack, the east-coast slugger who is most definitely someone to keep your eye on. With this record as the flagship track of a new, weekly installment #TrayJackThursdays, you’ll have plenty of opportunities to get more than your filling of good feels until June. Get to it.

Progressive House | Syndec – Riptide
Posted by Mel on March 25, 2014
I am well aware that vocals on a progressive house track are straight ballin and what most people prefer but once in a while it’s nice to hear one without. When there’s no vocals it allows you to truly listen to the music instead of being focused on the singer’s voice. Syndec is an eighteen year old Swedish producer and he managed to do with “Riptide” what most progressive house producers cannot when it comes to making a non vocal track, keep it interesting. The song is driven by an excellent light melody and is structured in a way that it does not get boring.

Electro, House | Tchami – Untrue (Extended Preview) + Wizard (Remix)
Posted by dshaq on March 24, 2014
The only way I can even try and describe French producer Tchami’s sound would be: Grimey. Today we have a full preview of his brand new track, Untrue, as well as a fantastic remix to Martin Garrix’s huge track Wizard. If his “future house” genre is the next big thing, I’m all in for it. Tchami is the start of something new and brilliant in the production world and it’s time to pay attention. Peep both tracks below and enjoy!
Electro-House | Riggi & Piros – WOW
Posted by Mel on March 24, 2014
When Lizzie McGuire kissed Gordo on top of that hotel roof in Rome in the Lizzie McGuire movie I just lost it. It was so obvious he was crushing hard and to see him finally toss it in there made my bros and I all very happy. The feeling of surprise Gordo must have felt in that moment is what I feel right now as I write a post for a big room track. Riggi & Piros are among the upper echelon of the (thankfully dying) big room sound and have decided to give away a track for free. It is titled “WOW” and has the worst cover art I have ever seen. I don’t know what they were going for but it is not erotic in the slightest. As far as the song goes, it’s largely typical big room stuff. It is also good though. I dislike big room but Riggi & Piros have managed to momentarily convince me otherwise.
