Alternative, Ambient, Pop | Zella Day prepares for festival season and shares her new single “High”
Posted by admin on May 7, 2015

These past few weeks have been busy for Los Angeles based songstress Zella Day. She is wrapping up her US tour with Coasts and preparing for a busy summer full of playing festivals and the June 2nd release of her album KICKER.
This new single follows up a video for the standout hit, “Hypnotic”, and adds another phenomenal song to the catalogue.
“High” is a massive and orchestral piece of work that manages to entice listeners while not conforming to a typical pop sound. It’s artists like Zella Day that continue to push the boundaries of music and make songs equally experimental and enjoyable.
While she comes from humble beginnings in her small Arizona town of 7,000, Zella clearly has her sights set on the world.

It’s not a party unless you sing along to a little Journey. With that being said, sometimes Journey doesn’t tickle your dancing fancy and you just want to turn up. Fortunately for you, Timeflies have done the work for you and amped up Journey’s classic, “Don’t Stop Believin'” and mashed it with some free bars.
Speaking of turning up, have you copped your tickets to see Cal and Rez live on tour this fall?

Electro-House, Events | Feed Me Psychedelic Journey EP + North American Tour
Posted by Middy on July 11, 2014
Jon Gooch aka Feed Me or Spor is finally getting ready to go back on the road. After months of working on new material for his various monikers, Feed Me is back out on the road for the summer festival season and has an EP to play for the ride. “Psychedelic Journey” encapsulates the controlled and refined madness that Feed Me brings to the table, ignoring genre tags and gives you the most complex, heavy stuff you will find. It is another master stroke from Feed Me as we wait for already announced album from Feed Me & Spor at some point. Stream three of the four tracks below and grab the EP on Beatport or iTunes.
Go stream the final tune of the EP “Without Gravity” over on DA.
With the EP he is getting ready to go on tour with a revamped version of the teeth. I have yet to see the teeth, though I have seen Feed Me twice live, so this is going to be a doozy of a tour. He is bringing along supporting acts Treasure Fingers, Delta Heavy, Le Castle Vania and Sotto Voice signees, Tijani & Zeros. Check out the dates after the jump and make sure you grab your tickets here.

Progressive House | Axwell, Ingrosso – We Come, We Rave, We Love
Posted by Mel on May 26, 2014
“We Come, We Rave, We Love” was played aplenty during SHM’s One Last Tour but since the trio disbanded, and then two of them got back together, we haven’t heard much about the release, aside from the fact that there wouldn’t be one. Amy Thomson, the manager of Axwell, Seb and Steve said that we would only ever have the live edit. We had all given up hope for a proper release, which just made what we have this morning even more of a surprise. Not only is the song finally out, but it is also available for free. For those of you who have somehow yet to hear it, it is more closely related to “Greyhound” than any of their commercial stuff and it is awesome. It appears as though Axwell and Seb are going ahead as a duo and that should excite all of you. Now all we need is some new solo stuff from Seb, it’s only been five years…

Albums, Trance | Markus Schulz – Scream 2 (Album Review)
Posted by Middy on February 27, 2014
Somehow, in between the marathon sets, constant travel and acting as a label head, Markus Schulz has found the time to release the follow up artist album, his fifth, to his 2012 effort, “Scream“. The DJ and the producer go hand and hand for Markus Schulz as what he makes has to be ready for a set that could last up to 12 hours, something he does more often than most. This album, like “Scream” delves into the more melodic side of his sound, but injects bigger and trancier melodies than the first edition. Stream the songs from album in a special episode of Global DJ Broadcast below, grab the CD, and watch the 25 minute behind the scenes documentary that goes into how the album was made, the stress of deadline day and details on the various collabs.
