Dubstep | Phear Phace – Leave Me Alone Ft. Jake Page

Posted by on September 30, 2012

Phear Phace usually does a bit of Drum & Bass, Neuro-Funk, and filthier Dubstep but today he gave away this sweet, smooth dubstep freebie. He takes Melodic Dubstep to a whole new meaning with the heavy bass used on this track. It comes in like a storm on a quiet day while you sit an awe at the silent and deadly beauty it carries.

Dubstep, House | Cat Skillz – Let Me Wake Up

Posted by on September 29, 2012

Been a while since we have posted Cat Skillz on FNT. When ever he does release a track it always a blend of a few styles. This original work of his that released today is a blend of House and Dubstep, a killer combination if used properly together. When I hit the first drop of this track I thought to myself “what is this BS, there is no dubstep…(waits), ah that’s nice.” The Dubstep coming in later through the drop is a nice touch, not something experienced often in this blend of genres.

Abstract Hip-Hop, RnB, Videos | Andrea – Another

Posted by on September 26, 2012

Andrea turned heads about 2 months ago with a remix of “Angels” by The xx. Today he serenades us with an Abstract Hip-Hop/R&B blend using vocal samples from Justin Timberlake. Forget Barry White, the video really puts this songs main purpose into light. Justin Timberlake’s voice actually sounds really good in the lower tones it is put into. This track is truly beautiful, it is literally sex.

Dubstep | R Rated #46

Posted by on September 12, 2012

Kicking off this weeks R Rated is an upcoming bomb remix from Darth & Vader. For just a short clip, you really get the feel for this remix…then you go deaf.

Next we have Rekoil, I said it weeks ago that he had some gems on the way and he is most definitely delivering. The track isn’t the normal filth, but it is some tasty deep sh*t.

50Carrot isn’t an artist Sev and I end up posting often, but he is someone whose work we are very familiar with. He uploaded this clip of this VIP just a few days ago and woah…eardrum killer.

Redacted from my write up about Zomboy’s newest EP, I complained about how he never gives away anything for free. Good thing I took it out because he gave away true fire today.

I originally wasn’t going to post this, I don’t see the big deal about Borgore, he sucks. He gets lucky with remixes, this would be borderline, one of those remixes. I can see why people will go crazy over this though.

Progressive House | Digitalism – Zdarlight (Fedde Le Grand & Deniz Koyu Remix)

Posted by on September 10, 2012

Deniz Koyu and Fedde Le Grand joined forces on a pounding, high energy remix of Digitalism’s 2005 mainstay “Zdarlight,” out today on Toolroom Records. They maintain the recognizable theme from the original but layer in some driving kicks and big synths that boost the intensity and make this an arena-ready crowd pleaser. I feel like both producers left an obvious mark on this track — it maintains the punchy, percussive Dutch vibe that Fedde Le Grand is known for while still delivering plenty of catchy progressive red meat. While I still favor the original, there’s no doubt that this has serious potential to do damage on the dance floor. Head over to Beatport for the download.

Dubstep | Koan Sound – Akira (Habstrakt Remix)

Posted by on August 7, 2012

Habstrakt coming through today with this outstanding remix to Koan Sound’s Akira. He has had this track finished for a while now, but I guess a combination of not having any release plans and lack of use in his sets led to him giving it away for free. Taking the heavy, bass-filled original and giving it that 8-bit Circus Records spin on it with a touch of heavy Habstrakt. It is usually a hit or miss with this style of dubstep, and this one is a hit.

Electro-House, Progressive House | dBerrie – Voices

Posted by on July 30, 2012

dBerrie’s arena-ready track “Voices” is out today on Fedde Le Grand’s Flamingo Recordings. The New York-based producer has rapidly made a name for himself with a high profile performance at Cosmic Opera back in April and remixes of well-known tracks like “Titanium” and “Rolling in the Deep.” His latest original release raises the bar even higher; with a fierce hook and punchy, high-octane synths, “Voices” is definitely something I expect to hear as we head into the final weeks of the 2012 festival season.
