Many moons ago, we had the opportunity to catch a Jessie Andrews set at SISU in Dallas at the urging of our friend and summer time authority Viceroy. We were pleasantly surprised. We even went for ice cream after but that’s for another time. This new “In Motion” effort from Jessie is solid body of work. Engineered by OWSLA’s Nick Thayer and recorded in North Melbourne, “In Motion” is simple but manages to cut through the clutter with groovy beats and feel good vibes proving sometimes simple is best. Jessie Andrews’s “In Motion” is avaiable on Beatport via ZIVS November 15th. Pick that up.

The Glitch Mob’s sophomore artist album “Love Death Immortality” showed the poise and grit we heard in their previous efforts. Now the show is going on the road. They have already toured much of North America during the spring and hit much of Europe over the summer, but now they cap things off with a final few shows this fall, including some big venues like NYC’s Hammerstein Ballroom and DC’s Echostage.
They will be joined on tour by The M Machine who are always a good time and have their unique sound to play for you, with Chrome Sparks kicking things off in his own weird, downtempo way. Before Avicii wore Polo and took “breaks” from his exhaustive tour schedule and spun it as he was spending more time in the studio to make new music for his fans, he was dropping underground hits like “My Feelings For You” with Sebastian Drums. New Jersey’s Spaveech (who looks like he could put Ric Flair in a headlock) puts an unlikely groovy twist on the original that’s impressive to say the last.
