Exclusive, Featured, Interviews | Adrian Lux Interview [FNT Exclusive]
Posted by Middy on July 30, 2013
Prinz Adrian Johannes Hynne aka Adrian Lux has had a long, winding road to where he is now, rising to his well-respected status in dance music. First getting into music around the age of 16, he started as a hip hop DJ before moving into the more underground realms of dance music that were popular at the time in his native Stockholm. He eventually found his sound, becoming heavily influenced by indie pop and a wide range electronic artists in Sweden from Andrew Beyer, to Axwell, to Eric Prydz.
We had the chance to talk about his tour and his show last Saturday, his early DJ life, moving to America and what he is in store for the future. Having just released his debut album last spring, and another on the way soon, it will be very exciting to see everything he has in store for us.
Chill, Pop | MARLENE – Bon Voyage
Posted by VMan on July 30, 2013
Sweden’s been producing great pop artists these recent years, and MARLENE is no different. I’m loving this song right now “Bon Voyage.” Safe to say, Summer of 2013 has been full of excellent, light, rhythmic tunes, and this track is no different. The impeccable production by Tepr & Myd will take you away, and the chorus gets it just right by wishing you: Bon voyage! Unfortunately for those who want to add this track to their Summer playlist, the official single will be available in August but for now enjoy this avant-garde video directed by Sikow. On a good note, if you’re a producer and you feel like a remix would do this track justice, the acapella and instrumental are available for download on her SoundCloud. This is hands down a must listen!
Progressive House | Twibak – Fluke
Posted by W8 on February 8, 2013
Over the years, I have remained in constant contact with Twibak from across the pond in Sweden. He is a special producer to say the least. Crafting a certain quality in his production that gives you an indefinite feeling of potential; just living life like we all do. He doesn’t release tracks that often, and so this marks a special occasion. ”Fluke” has an alleviated compression feel to it, nothing that exaggerated. Seamless transitions front to back with delicate anthemic work bundled with smooth synths and sprays. Altogether a blissful array of rhythm.

Mainstream Remix | NERVO & Hook N Sling – Reason (Forever Kid Remix)
Posted by Juicebox on February 1, 2013
Forever Kid is back again with a brand new remix with hopes of winning both Nervo’s tender love as well as their remix competition. After listening to over 50 submissions of this remix, this track is by far the best produced, melodic, and overall remix by far. This LA based duo hailing form Stockholm, Sweden is beyond deserving of a win here for their consistency and pure raw talent, you may remember them from their banger/party starter remix of Somebody I Used to Know”. Show them some love and vote for their track, these guys deserve it. Vote here.
House | Forever Kid ft. Nicole Wolf – Beat Inside My Mind
Posted by Juicebox on November 5, 2012
Two young gun Swedish producers have dropped their solo careers & combined forces to create what could be the greatest thing to happen to Sweden since IKEA. Now under the name Forever Kid, these two Swedish producers have already began to make a name for themselves here in the U.S. since their move to Los Angeles. You may recognize their familiar sound in their previous release of what undoubtedly the best remix of “Somebody That I Used to Know,” Gotye – Somebody That I Used To Know (Wulf & Bernhard.S Remix). Now the boys are back with one of their first official releases which has a great big room swedish house sound and is melodically on track. Download the release and keep your eyes out for these guys.
House | Lucas Nord vs. Urban Cone – Let Us Stay Young (Wulf & Forever Kid Remix)
Posted by Juicebox on June 11, 2012
Wulf, who brought us what is by far the best “Goyte – Somebody That I Used to Know” remix out there (posted below), is back again with another quality track. Lucas Nord collabed with Urban Cone a little while back and seeing as they’re both from Sweden, it couldn’t be more fitting that Wulf & Forever Kid hopped up on the remix. These two young (really young) Swedes take an already great track and turn it into the perfect mesh of a melodic, yet dance inducing track. The Swedes and house music…

House | Avicii – Two Million (Original Mix)
Posted by Spice on May 30, 2012
I’m barely into my coffee and we’ve already got a new track from Avicii? Wow, well I can certainly think of worse ways to start the morning. Wasting no time after yesterday’s release (which Sev is already touting as his favorite Avicii song…ever), Sweden’s plaid-loving golden boy brings us the aptly titled “Two Million” to commemorate the significant milestone of hitting two million fans on Facebook. This is something different — it’s a stripped down, high energy house track with a darker edge than we’re used to seeing from Mr. Bergling. The deceptive simplicity, synthy pitch builds, and driving four-on-the-floor bassline give it a vaguely Afrojack-esque vibe that I’m totally feeling. Congratulations, Avicii! Here’s to the next two million.
