Alternative, Bass | Wax Motif & Neoteric – Das Machines
Posted by J-Tiffy on August 20, 2013

Two of the three head chefs at Main Course Records have tackled another project together. Their best known collaboration dish was the original version of Go Deep; the massive tune that received stellar remixes from Astronomar and, of course, Torro Torro. Today, they’ve released a special feature entree called Das Machines. This is a heavy dish, with a driving tribal feel. They use a myriad of vocal samples, cooked to perfection and served on a bed of industrial/mechanical sounding percussion, garnished with strange ambient noise. An order of the original version is also served with the “Epic Dub Version”, a spiced up mix of the original – it’s a party in your mouth. As Always, this dish can be grabbed for free, but be sure to support the kitchen with a purchase.

Alternative, Pop | ANTONIO//PAUL – Coloured Screens
Posted by VMan on August 18, 2013
Today’s find of the day comes from the Australian duo Antonio//Paul with this alternative pop gem “Coloured Screens.” The boys recently announced that this record was the closest song they could create to sound like a cartoon TV show, layered with mega pop melodies. I’m a sucker for these kinds of tunes, the kind that take you away, and I’m glad I found it. This track is light and sweet, perfect for your Sunday. Enjoy the SoundCloud stream, like these guys on Facebook and support them by copping their single on iTunes. Must Listen!

Electro-House | Blasterjaxx – Puzzle, Show Me Remix & Faith

Alright it is time we give you all a proper introduction to one of the hottest duos coming out of, guess it, Holland. You have probably heard of them by now, and if not have almost surely heard their tracks at some point or another, either at a festival or in a live set. The duo have become understudies of Laidback Luke, Hardwell and Tiesto, seeing support from your rank and file big name DJs, with tracks like “Miami”, & “Loud & Proud” being played by DJs all over the world. They released two tracks on Monday and another not 3 weeks ago, which you can all find below. Blasterjaxx have become masters of the big-room, festival sound, but manage to make it so you know it is Blasterjaxx. They have a billion new tracks and collabs on the way, including “Fifteen” on Revealed, “That Big” with Yves V, and many more. These guys are being booked for quality European festivals and are only getting better. Look for more from them and their prodigious production rate in the future.
Chill, House | Asaf Avidan – One Day (The Knocks Remix)

The Knocks made my favorite track this year, “Modern Hearts“, so I am super excited to see anything new from them. The original has been beaten to death, that is no secret. However if there is someone who can revive it from the grave, The Knocks would be among the top candidates for song-zombificaiton (in a good way). Instead of attempting to inject their upbeat, disco style into the track, they stuck with the chilled out sound of the original, adding subtle pianos and synths to support the vocal. It’s free, so grab it.

House | His Majesty Andre Feat. Anna Lunoe – Sunshine
Posted by J-Tiffy on August 6, 2013

I have a lot of respect for the folks at Main Course Records. Astronomar, Bot, and Neoteric are all wickedly innovative artists in their own respect. They go on to give us Main Course Records, a label that always offers its releases for free with the option to purchase and support the artists. Today, Main Courses serves us up something special. The intro is an easy listening little bit that reels you in. The vocals of Anna Lunoe, combined with the unexpected, but perfectly fitting, drop crafted by His Majesty Andre, make for a deep track that would absolutely kill in the middle of a set. This tack comes as part of a two song release. My compliments to the chef.
Chill, Electro | Dillon Francis ft Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs – Without You

Dillon Francis teamed up with Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs aka TEED and dropped this epic dance record called “Without You.” According to his SoundCloud, Dillon was having some relationship problems, and TEED ended up writing a song about the situation. I’m glad he did. I’m letting you know now, this is not your typical Dillon Francis track, but it’s another great track to add to your Summer playlist nonetheless. Enjoy this light and sexy record, and support by purchasing the single!
