Collaborating with Sean Terrio for the release, ‘Take My Time’ sees the artist deliver a wonderfully fresh and vibrant new release. Channeling a rich and diverse aesthetic, which sees him borrow from the worlds of indie-pop, soul, and classic disco, his newest delight will firmly fix a smile to your face from start to finish. Listen and watch the visual above now and read a quote from YASSiN on the release below now.
“Take My Time was written in the early months of quarantine, on a dark rainy day. I wrote this song as an escape from the circumstances of the world. It is a love song that embodies the pure joy of being with someone you love. It has a hint of silliness to it. It is a dreamers song about forgetting the complications of the world and feeling free with your partner. I say at the beginning of the track “Maybe stand a little closer” Which is something I hope people do when they dance to this one. It’s also me dreaming of the day where we don’t have to be 6 feet apart from each other. This song to me is about true love that you’d spend a life waiting for, hope that gets you up and has you moving forward even in bleak days, and pure ridiculous fun.” – YASSiN

Alternative | Earl Gray Collective’s “This House” is Eye Opening
Posted by VMan on September 27, 2020
South London based four piece band Earl Gray Collective’s new single ‘This House’ propels their artistry to a deeper and more musing level as the lyricism takes an introspective turn. The listener is taken on a story-like exploration of self understanding. The fluidity of the instrumentals elegantly begin whilst emphatically building, defined by tender piano keys and rich, mellow guitar strums, coated in irresistable harmonic vocals. Listen to the song above now and check out a quote from the band below!
“‘This House’ is a song that really takes you on a journey, the lyrics describe an eye opening moment in my life when I realised I had some unhealthy and sometimes unconscious biases that I needed to confront and deal with. We really tried to capture that journey in the song leaving loads of space for the story and the structure to develop and ultimately to create this moment of real unity at the end.”
Alternative | Hugo Valentine shares powerfully poignant new single “Rule the World”
Posted by VMan on September 9, 2020
“Rule the World” is the newest track in a string of releases from London based singer-songwriter, Hugo Valentine. His latest offering is a cheery, yet equally pensive pop ballad filled with rich, acoustic instrumentation. His musical inspirations are obvious on “Rule The World, citing artists like Elton John, ColdPlay and Arctic Monkeys to Tom Odell and David Bowie. Valentine continues to impress on his string of releases in 2020, check out his latest above now and read a quote from him on the single below now.
“…Often one finds a lot of comfort in reminiscing about happy times from the past, and this is an idea that the song explores. The notion of ‘together we can rule the world’ aims to fill the sufferer with the hope that he doesn’t have to do this alone, that others are there for him and that he can make it through this difficult part of his life with the help of those who love him. ‘Rule The World’ brings to light the isolation that often comes with addiction and seeks to remind people who suffer in this way that they are not alone.”
