Drum & Bass, Electro | XXYYXX – End of Time (Rework)
Posted by yabishcic on November 25, 2013
XXYYXX legit kills it – this has been my theme song for a while now. Ever since I saw him live at the DNA Lounge here in San Francisco and got to meet and chat with him, I’ve had a high level of respect for this (then 17, now) 18 year old producer. This is an unofficial song but it’s got to be one of my favorites. So minimal, eerie, and bass heavy all at the same time to submerge you into the crazy world of XXYYXX‘s style – you’ll fall for it instantly.
Chill, Dubstep | Just a Gent ft. Sarah Stone – ASOFI (Vendetta’s Chasing Nothing Remix)
Posted by Nick on November 24, 2013
Don’t get me wrong – I love how electronic music has been evolving recently; but this remix from Vendetta is a refreshing genre throwback that will make your head spin (in the best way possible). With a precise mixture of dubstep and drumstep, these San Francisco-based pioneers will leave you craving more of their sound with this completely revamped version of Just a Gent’s “A Song of Fire and Ice.” If you’re a fan of what the boys over at Adventure Club have been doing, then this track is a must listen. Make sure to grab a FREE download and show your support!

Events, Home, Review, Videos | Aokify America: Steve Aoki x Borgore x Waka Flocka Flame (Recap)
Posted by FilthyTaft on November 21, 2013
The title says it all – Dim Mak hooked FNT up with passes so that we could cover the show. Steve Aoki, Borgore, and Waka Flocka made a dream team on Saturday night at the Bill Graham Civic Center in San Francisco, and they put on one hell of a show. Check out the media gallery below (especially the POV recap video), and make sure to check out the rest of the tour’s stops before you miss it altogether here.
To give you a better picture of what the concert was like, keep in mind that the show was somehow sold out (it was at the Civic Center in San Francisco, imagine how many people it takes to sell out a concert there). Borgore had an incredible opening set, playing his classics as you’d expect (e.g. Nympho). But, he surprised everyone towards the end of his set when he started dropping some unheard trap and moombahton – some HEAVY trap and moombahton I might add. By this point, everyone was completely riled up – but it doesn’t stop there because just when it seemed like a peak, Borgore brought out Waka Flocka who yelled an entire verse to a wild audience.
But hold up – Steve Aoki starts his set at this point. Mind-blowing is an understatement. Between his stage dives, cake throws, bottle pops, and raft rides, Steve Aoki slapped his bangers so hard that his dad’s restaurants almost went out of business (his dad owns Benihana’s). He played every song that you would wish he would play live. And he killed all of them.
Moral of the story is, if you didn’t go, you missed out. Put Aoki on the bucket list.
Trap | Tropkillaz x gLAdiator – Double Dragon
Posted by Nick on October 3, 2013
This collaboration makes me a little more excited than most because it features two of my favorite up-and-coming trap-focused artists: Brazilian duo Tropkillaz and Los Angles duo gLAdiator. Now, I managed to hear gLAdiator drop this track live back in August when they were out in San Francisco, and the crowd went absolutely nuts. Hit up that free download and go crazy yourself. #SQUAD.
