Dubstep | KOAN Sound-Funk Blaster (Culprate remix) & Loadstar-Passenger (Culprate Remix)[Prev]

Posted by on June 28, 2012

Culprate is destroying the scene right now with his unique style of glich and dubstep blended together. First we have a preview of one of his upcoming releases that went up on UKF yesterday. Absolutely smashing remix to Loadstar’s DnB tune Passenger that was also uploaded to the UKFDrum&Bass channel a few weeks ago. I think the original DnB tune maybe a little heavier, but I’m torn between which one I like more. Either way Culprate is tearing his remixes apart, which leads us to his next massive freebie that was given away today. His remix to KOAN Sound’s Funk Blaster, which has been a highlight to many artist sets. You should know what to expect by now; it’s that glich-step style from Cuplrate with some funk provided by KOAN. Also as a heads, be on the lookout for Culprate’s remix of Skrillex’s Make It Bun Dem which has been recorded at a few live shows and should be surfacing soon.

Electro | Skorby – Laser Destruction

Posted by on June 26, 2012

Seventeen year-old Skorby is back and making me feel (once again) like I contributed nothing to society as a teenager. The young producer has a flair for slamming catchy, progressive hooks into white knuckle-inducing electro breaks and “Laser Destruction” is no exception. Those crazy synth leads after the drop are in the grand tradition of Alvin Risk; I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t head knocking at my cubicle right now.

Hip-Hop | Wiz Khalifa – Telescope (ft. 50 Cent) [Prod. Harry Fraud]

Posted by on June 21, 2012

Such a fitting picture for this newly released Wiz track. Produced by one of my favorite producers out right now, Harry Fraud, Wiz and feature partner 50 Cent go in on this laid back, relaxing beat. Expect this one to be in heavy rotation before O.N.I.F.C. drops.

DO SOMETHING

Dubstep | Phrenik – The Strength Within

Posted by on June 15, 2012

Phrenik is without a doubt my favorite up and coming producer right now. He has made countless releases just in 2012 which includes albums, singles, and remixes. He is a boss and there seems to be no stopping this fiend. Stating it had been some time since he released a free tune, we now have ‘The Strength Within’ to make it to his next release which most likely wont be very long. This is a deep Dubstep tune, the vocals are great and show his true mastery in composing Dubstep. Phrenik is a force to reckon with, one day his popularity will explode and I’ll be there waiting.

Moombahton | Knife Party – Centipede (:DFace 108-140 Moombahton Edit)

Posted by on June 7, 2012

There’s not really much that needs to be said about this edit — DFace hits it out of the park, out of the county, and squarely into Rage Valley territory. If you are someone who takes pleasure in the deranged filthstorm that is Knife Party’s “Centipede,” you will probably really enjoy what happens when those crazy wobbles are brought down to 108 bpm. Enough said. Go download it. Right now.

Girl Fire, Pop, Videos | Akon Performing “America’s Most Wanted” Live

Posted by on June 4, 2012

I am so jacked up right now. I don’t think you really understand. When I was in college, Akon had an unbelievable run. He was on everyone’s single. He is forever a legend in my book. Last night, he debuted his “America’s Most Wanted” single while Miss Rhode Island absolutely crushed the stage. Talk about dream girl. She’s smart too. When she dropped “cognitive processes” on stage, she had it won. Expect this single to put Konvict Music’s el jefe back on top!

Dubstep | Doctor P – Tetris (Sinister Souls Scrambled Eggs Edit)

Posted by on June 1, 2012

I was pretty sick of this song and all the remixes I had heard up to this point, until now. Wow, Sinister Souls completely brought a whole new perspective to this, now boring, track. Im in a state of WTF!? right now after listening to it. I was caught by surprise so many times that I didn’t even know what was happening at one point. These guys definitely showed Doctor P how it needs to be done.
