Dotcom-Music
Dubstep fans, today is your lucky day. Up and comer, Dotcom, who has recently exploded onto the scene with his heavy hitting remixes & melodic riffs, has released an hour mix packed with bangers. Following up both the greatest week of the year (shark week) and the greatest movie of the year (sharknado), Dotcom has appropriately entitled this mix, “#Sharknado.” This half hour mix features all the heavy hitters including Candyland, Martin Garrix, & even an original from Dotcom himself.

Swedish producer Oliver Nelson has been killing it with the remixes recently. Just yesterday he released a chill dance remix of SomeKindaWonderful ‘s “Reverse” and it sounds too cool. Funk and disco have been in this summer, and I’m not against the wave. The vocals on this track mesh perfectly with the dance flow of the record. Let this one play, and enjoy your Saturday! Must listen and must download!

Here’s another dope remix by Oliver Nelson of Everywhere’s “Eddie.” Something about the beginning that reminds of Toto’s “Africa,” and I mean that with all respect…

Progressive House | Francesco Rossi – Paper Aeroplane (Tom Staar Remix)

Francesco Rossi - Paper Aeroplane (Tom Staar Remix)

Goddamn Tom Staar, you have done it again. There are some remixes that when you hear them, you just know they are perfect. This is one of them. It’s funky, groovy, upbeat, brooding, powerful and soulful all at once. I don’t usually write really glowing of tracks because some blogs think every track is a “banger anthem”, when they just aren’t, but this deserves it. Just go and get it. Catch it at 51 minutes in Steve Angello’s Tomorrowland set to help put it in perspective.

Preview, Progressive House | The Aston Shuffle – Can’t Stop Now (Special Features Remix) [Preview]

The Aston Shuffle - Can't Stop Now (Special Features Remix)

It took about 800 edits to get this track just right, but when Special Features got it, he did it right. It has been a slow year for him waiting on remixes to clear and labels to release tracks, but now The Aston Shuffle give him the chance to shine on their remix package for “Can’t Stop Now”. Set for release September 16th, the remix features Special Feature’s bright synths that mesh very well with the original vocals, taking this indie dance track to the dance floor. Look for a Matisse & Sadko remix to come August 30th on Spinnin and a Ta-Ku remix as part of this package on September 16th, with potentially 6 more to come. The original is out now.

I know I don’t deal in remixes much, unless they’re of the hip-hop variety. But I know good music when I hear it. When critiquing non hip-hop music, my ear changes from stiff analyzation and cricial listening, and just goes to “well this sounds good.” When I first heard Urban Noize’s latest concoction, I thought to myself, “This sounds GREAT,” so I stepped a bit out of my comfort zone here, and decided to post it for all of you to enjoy. So forget my lack of terms for this type of music, and forgive my lack of eloquence, and enjoy the damn music. It sounds great.

Drum & Bass | Seven Lions Ft. Fiora – Days To Come (Vaizo’s Rise & Fall Mix)

Posted by on July 27, 2013

Despite the countless remixes of this song that now exist, there are still new remixes surfacing daily that add to the list of greats. Vaizo came through with a different style that we have yet to see since first hearing “Days to Come”. Obviously there is a fair share of Drum & Bass remixes, but there aren’t many deep liquid remixes or even tracks close to the level that this is at. Vaizo did a beautiful job on this remix, it takes you on a journey of your choosing.
