#SundayStudDay returns and Mike gives us what he says is one of his smoothest remixes to date. He puts his spin on Capital Cities’ “Safe and Sound” as well as Jay Z’s “FuckWithMeYouKnowIGotI”. Mike just wrapped up his Summer tour, but has a list of brand new cities for the Fall. You can check those after the jump and get tickets using the link below!

Progressive House | Nicky Romero vs Krewella – Legacy (Vicetone Remix)

Nicky Romero vs Krewella- Legacy (Vicetone Remix)

With the power of both of their fan bases, Symphonica “Legacy” soared right up to the top of the Beatport charts and stayed their for quite some time. However, the original seemed like left over parts from “Symphonica“, with great vocals from Krewella put on top. It needed remixes badly. In step Vicetone, who need no introduction anymore with their powerful, driving melodies. They apply this to “Legacy”, giving it the originality and stamina it needed.

Chill, Trap | Oisima – Everything About Her (Ta-ku Remix)

Posted by on August 23, 2013

Ta-Ku always makes the sweetest remixes. Ta-Ku’s remix of Oisima’s “Everything About Her” is pretty unique. It’s mellow, but the higher pitched sounds keep the listener awake. Annabel Weston’s vocals on the track are beautiful and flow nicely over the fresh beats from Ta-Ku. The chill vibes are plentiful, and it’s free to download!

Electro-House | Delta Rae – Bottom Of The River (Live City Remix)

Posted by on August 21, 2013

Delta Rae - Bottom Of The River (Live City Remix)Its been too long since I have given these guys some love. They have been on a tear lately with house music oracle and long haired John Lennon look-a-like, Tommy Sunshine, producing official remixes for the likes of Mt. Eden, Martin Solveig and Capital Cities. They have been getting more official remix requests lately, but still remain true to form on the free release front and this guy is one of their finer ones to date. Taking full advantage of Delta Rae’s folky vocals, Live City adds a grungy breakdown with churching electro stutters and and a booming bass line. Also included are some of their recent remixes for “Hey Now” and Mt Eden “Sierra Leone”.

Alternative, Bass | Wax Motif & Neoteric – Das Machines

Posted by on August 20, 2013

Two of the three head chefs at Main Course Records have tackled another project together. Their best known collaboration dish was the original version of Go Deep; the massive tune that received stellar remixes from Astronomar and, of course, Torro Torro. Today, they’ve released a special feature entree called Das Machines. This is a heavy dish, with a driving tribal feel. They use a myriad of vocal samples, cooked to perfection and served on a bed of industrial/mechanical sounding percussion, garnished with strange ambient noise. An order of the original version is also served with the “Epic Dub Version”, a spiced up mix of the original – it’s a party in your mouth. As Always, this dish can be grabbed for free, but be sure to support the kitchen with a purchase.

Ambient, Chill | Ruth Granton – People Help People (Isoline. Remix)

Posted by on August 18, 2013

Here is some chill music for your Sunday. Isoline absolutely takes your mind on a journey with this remix of “People Help People” by Ruth Granton. It’s part of her “People Help People EP” featuring two other remixes and the original track. Isoline’s version is by far my favorite. It’s mellow, soothing, and the vocals are killer – everything you want in an ambient track. Check out the EP on iTunes!
