Electro-House | Audrio – Dreaming Wide Awake
Posted by Middy on September 6, 2013
Our flyer guy to watch this year, Audrio, has sparingly had releases this year, mostly as remixes for other tracks on Avicii’s LE7ELS label. He is now given the floor to showcase his ability on the original front, releasing one of his tracks that when you go to his soundcloud, is titled “We’re Still Here”. The track has his acid-electro fusion with some well placed female vocals that give it a soft touch. We are still waiting for “Humans”….still waiting.

Albums, Electronic | Black Magic Remixes EP + Kill The Noise, Brillz & Minxx – Saturn (AMTRAC Remix)
Posted by J-Tiffy on September 4, 2013
It’s finally here in all its glory! All 9 remixes are as awesome as expected and the EP is a blast to listen to. The track list is stacked with remixes from big names, and each song is wildly different from the previous. Relentless electro-house, massive festival-trap and bad ass metal – just to name a few genres you’ll find. Also released yesterday on The Nest HQ (the OWSLA side project) were 3 remixes that didn’t wind up on the EP; Nick Thayer’s remix of Rockers, Durante’s remix of Jump Ya Body, and AMTRAC’s remix of Saturn. Being a huge fan of AMTRAC, and also being once again amazed by one of his remixes, I’ve included his remix to this post.
If you haven’t joined The Nest, now’s the time. Upon subscription to The Nest you receive the two latest releases, which right now happen to be this remix EP, PLUS, the Noisia & Foreign Beggars I Am Legion LP! You’ll also gain access to the 3 other remixes I mentioned. As always, you get Skrillex’s Leaving EP as well when you subscribe.

Chill, Trap | Bronze Whale – Say It
Posted by BP on September 4, 2013
Bronze Whale, a duo from Austin, TX, just released this sweet trap track. I can’t get enough of it’s tripped out vibes. Deep vocal chops glide over the synth-filled melody in a way that is just downright sexy. “Say It” is smooth and relaxing while still catching the listener’s attention. Bronze Whale has out lots of other chill remixes too so check him out! This one’s free!

B.o.B recently released “Ready“, a Future assisted track that is a likely single for his upcoming album Underground Luxury. PropaneLv decided it would be the subject of the latest of his weekly remixes… and here we are! LTRMN.
Varsity Blues coming September 30th.
Progressive House | Kryder – Aphrodite
Posted by Middy on September 2, 2013
Kryder has come quite a long way since his 2011 single on Musical Freedom “K2”. He has collabed with Tom Staar on remixes for SHM and Afrojack and broadened a sound to put out a diverse range of well-supported singles. This time he makes his eagerly anticipated debut on Axtone with “Aphrodite“, a track that has been a favorite of Sebastian Ingrosso‘s, Axwell and the gang for months now and especially during the summer months.
The funky, rolling bass lines that we saw in those past remixes are back in play, while horns round out the groove. Cleverly crafted piano melodies and synth leads bring a melodic component for a vintage Axtone feel. Upcoming on Axtone is Axwell’s “I Am” with Sick Individuals, which is just too good, and saw its radio premier over the weekend on NRJ Sweden.

Albums, Dubstep | Protohype – Fly Remixes
Posted by BP on August 27, 2013
Protohypes’s Fly Remixes EP is incredible. Each remix is hard hitting, but still unique. All the remixes maintain the beautiful vocals by Alina Renae, and lots include the deep growls you’re looking for in a heavy dubstep track. Protohype’s original song “Fly” is great to begin with, and each of the artists did it justice. My personal favorite is Isqa’s remix. Until it comes out on September 3rd, we can listen to it here!

Bass, Chill | Down Under – Chuck Norris Dub (Thomas Jack Edit)
Posted by VMan on August 26, 2013
About 2 months ago, I was introduced to 20 year old Australian producer Thomas Jack with his original track “The Final Speech” featuring the saxophonist Adrian Symes, and I’ve been keeping up with him ever since. As a result of reaching 5,000 Likes on Facebook, he’s giving out a free download for his edit of “Down Under” by Men At Work and I’m feeling it. There’s always something about these deep house remixes where they always wait till the last minute to drop a funky guitar line, so make sure you look out for that. The original record is from the 80’s but Thomas brings it back to life by stripping it down, adding a bumping bass, and some reggae vocals. This is a must listen and a must download!

Also take the time to listen to his remix of One Republic’s “Counting Stars” and peep the free download!
