Damn man, Louisiana MC Christian Deshun went in this one, can someone get this MC a record deal, and a stage to rhyme on??!! Dropping visuals for his track “Thiiird.Coast.Poet,” off his upcoming mixtape, which will be his latest project since his EP SMPLCTY, Christian still has more to prove, and will not stop until the world hears his talent. I highly encourage ya’ll to keep an eye out on this talent, I have a feeling his music will not go unnoticed and will be picked up soon! This is  a must listen!

Trap | Moving Castle Vol. 002

MOVING CASTLE VOL. 002Facebook | SoundCloud | Twitter

I was just put on to this latest project by Moving Castle, properly entitled Moving Castle Volume 2, and it’s a nice selection of jersey club, meets future bass, with a dab of trap and chillwave feels, but you know as the French say “fuck a genre,” so listen, vibe out, and shut up, this is some super dope sound! I went through the project and picked out 3 of my favorites off the mixtape, particularly AObeats, Manila Killa, and Vices’ “Food Diaries,” Dugong Jr’s “In Love” and a close third , Robokid and Ba-kuura’s “Pegasus.” On the real, I love everything about this project, the pitched up, chopped up female vocals always get to me! This is a must listen and a must download!

DO SOMETHING

Chill, Electronic | Esta. – Lexo

Posted by on July 3, 2014

Esta’s new track “Lexo” isn’t coming to us in the usual way. This track is released under Visual Vibez, specifically in a new project called “Selfless”. To quote Visual Vibez, “Selfless is a month long campaign where independent musicians donate songs to support an art/music based non-profit or charity.” The nonprofit that this track supports is called MusicianCorps. There is an option to download for free, or you can choose to support. As for the track, its chill and flows with Esta’s traditional style. The high notes are most memorable, decorating the funky masterpiece with summer vibes. Check it out for yourself!

Electro, Hip-Hop, Mixtapes | YoAstrum – Alchemy In Heav3n (Mixtape)

Posted by on June 12, 2014

YoAstrum is no new-comer to Fresh New Tracks. Previous singles, “A Day’s Worth” and “Heav3n”, were a big hit with you all, making it only right to share the full length project, Alchemy In Heav3n. YoAstrum packs 13 tracks full of his signature beat selection and self-aware lyrics.

Personal favorites from the tape include the aforementioned, “Heav3n”, as well as the Lakim produced, “Jet Grind Radio”. Alchemy In Heav3n is viable and accepted across multiple genres and enumerable listeners. The forward-thinking production coupled with the melodic rap make the project a must listen.

Sean Leon follows up his last release with a pair of superb examples of the talent coming out of Toronto. Both ‘K4M’ and ‘East District’ are a lot more Hip-Hop than his last release which had a stronger rock influence. 2014 is looking promising as he prepares to unveil his next project BLACK SHEEP Nirvana.

Hip-Hop, Rap | GoldLink – Ay Ay (Video)

Posted by on April 30, 2014

After the successful release of his genre-bending project, The God Complex, GoldLink has debuted the first video for the song “Ay Ay”. Classified as a “future-bounce stripper anthem,” the video combines some serious booty-shaking with a mini-plot line. The video was directed by Nathan R. Smith, and is the second strong visual release from him and GoldLink in the past month.

Check out the video above, and be sure to grab The God Complex here, if you haven’t already.
