The way house music is being consumed by fans is changing, in 2016 the path keeps getting more diversified. An ironic facet being big-room was huge in 2012 but now chiller and experimental house genres are taking over in 2016.
One artist pushing the limit on in both areas is CASTELL. “You Got It Wrong” nails it will an original, non-cheesy deep-ish house vocal and bass rhythm. Soon after, CASTELL puts the icing on the cake with dope, cascading bell drops that bring about a unique feeling that’s more than just a harmonious moment.
This is CASTELL’s first release, although he has years experience as a producer under previous aliases.
CASTELL caught the eye of Style Of Eye member Linus Eklöw (also 1/2 of Galantis) who has been mentoring him during this process. CASTELL has alot in store for 2016.

Norwegian Duo has been releasing progressive hits back to back. With each release they garner more support from established media outlets. The sound design of their drums and lead synths stand out to even an experienced producer. We are excited to hear what they have next. Leah Haxhi is a singer songwriter currently working on her upcoming album in NYC. She paired with Bangladeshi producer IAmRizwan to create this atmospheric track that makes us feel like everything will be “Okay”. She free-styled the song in one take and then added harmonies to build out the song and create the organic feeling of the single. Leah is working with various producers and labels such as Afrojack, Armada Music, and MixMash Deep. We last gave you a taste of her EDM style with Armada’s record “When We Were Young” by Jaylex ft. Leah Haxhi, but here she shows us once again that her style cannot be put into any box.

Australian producer Jordan F just dropped another single from his sophomore album, “Timelines”. “Set Me Free”, featuring the vocals of Midnight Pool Party member Morilla, is an upbeat synth funk track that will definitely make you move as soon as you press play. The 80’s inspired producer perfectly blends retro synths with a classic bass-line to create a sound that is perfect for dance floors as well as laid back listening. Babbit combines sensational vocals with electronic sounds and grand piano chords to produce an emotional song that will have you closing your eyes and bobbing your head. With only two songs on his Soundcloud, people must be wondering where he came from. With a song like this, he deserves the praise he will undoubtedly receive in the future.
