Electro, Progressive House | Avicii – Wake Me Up (EDX Edit)

Posted by on September 1, 2013

EDXRemix

About 17 days ago, EDX released a 1:40 long preview of his progressive house remix of Avicii’s “Wake Me Up” and he needs to release the full length track! Not sure when that will be, but the Swiss producer/DJ brought Avicii’s masterpiece to another level, and though we get a taste of the build and drop towards the end, it’s not enough! I’m usually not a big fan of previews, and don’t get around to posting them, but I had to make an exception with this one. This track is a must listen, because it’s that good, and help EDX out, by voting him in the DJ Mag’s Top 100 by clicking here.

Progressive House | Mat Zo feat. Chuck D – Pyramid Scheme

Posted by on July 31, 2013

Mat Zo & Chuck D

First premiered in Bangalore during his Group Therapy 001 set, Mat Zo has finally given us a timetable and preview for his unreal single “Pryamid Scheme”. The sample was taking way too long to clear so Chuck D decided to re-record the vocals himself, showing that a. He is a boss (given), and b. he supports this track, which you should too. It will be out August 13th, so mark your calendar, datebook, stone slabs or whatever you use for keeping schedules.

Drum & Bass, Dubstep, Glitch | Kursa – SDBN EP

Posted by on July 30, 2013

Kursa - SDBM EPSev and I have been watching Kursa closely this year. He has been uploading some the dirtiest previews to his Soundcloud for months now and finally we get to share a release with everyone. Listening to the preview of “SDBN” did it no justice, Kursa set this sweet baby up to rock your world through a full play only. The track opens strong, taking that Neuro bass straight through your ears to the pleasure center of your brain. “Just A Glitch” is a funky Glitch-Hop/Neuro blended track, exercising its name to the fullest degree. This has to be my favorite track on this two track behemoth of an EP. The second drop just owns face in terms of glitch tracks, there just isn’t any track that comes to mind that could trump this tune. Kursa’s “SDBN” EP is out now through Caliber Music.

Pierce Fulton feat. Polina - Where We WereReaders of FNT need no intro to Pierce Fulton by now. We are here to present the preview for his latest single “Where We Were” with Polina on vocals. Continuing his strong relationship and contractual obligations with Mark Brown’s Cr2 Records, Pierce Fulton returns to the label that helped launch his career and has been the focal point for most of his single releases. Chill, Trap | MY†H – Summerboys

Posted by on July 18, 2013

myth - summerboysThis incredibly chill track by MY†H was a pleasure to stumble upon this evening. The dreamy beats take your mind on a journey. It’s a perfect Thursday night chill out song. Trap like this could become incredibly boring if not produced well, but MY†H put out a really refined piece here. This track is unfortunately just a preview, but be sure to pick up their EP, Summerboys93 when it drops on July 29th to Trapdoor Records!

Electro-House, Preview | DallasK – Heaven (Preview)

DallasK - Heaven

DallasK has quietly had himself an outstanding year with several critically acclaimed originals like “Alienz” and “Vice“. The Kindergarten Records signee and Wolfgang Gartner understudy presents the preview to his latest original as he approaches a significant social media milestone in his young and promising career. As a thank you to his nearly 20k Facebook fans (he is at just over 19k now), he has previewed a track he will be giving away when he hits that number. In this age when artists can explode in popularity overnight and their social media numbers explode in kind, many do not want to give out very good material because these milestones come too often. From what we can hear in the 51 seconds of “Heaven”, it sounds as though DallasK is giving out a quality addition to his discography, using a well-placed Killers sample.

Dubstep, Exclusive, Featured, House, Preview | BeatauCue – Aeropolis + Others Remix (Preview) [FNT Exclusive]

Posted by on July 10, 2013

BeatauCue - Aeropolis EP

As head of forward thinking label Kitsuné, French duo BeatauCue, are known for their funky, groovy originals and remixes that may not put them on the MainStage, but it has earned them the respect as both outstanding producers and label owners. They have given us the opportunity to exclusively preview their upcoming single “Aeropolis”, set for release August 5th on their label Kistuné, along with one of the remixes on the package from London dubstep artist The Others. The original calls to mind a bit of an Eric Prydz sound with its rolling bass line, a strong groove and punchy and unrelenting synth chords that culminate in a huge danceable drop. The Others derives his builds from the original, but true to his sound adds deep, heavy, sub rattling growls and an ominous lead to flip the script on this track and make it his own bass heavy addition. Look for these on July 29th with additional remixes from Neosignal and Slick Shoota, which you preview in the minimix below.
