Progressive House, Review | Morgan Page — In The Air (2012) + Leave The Lights On (Morgan Page Remix)

Posted by on April 24, 2012

Apologies on taking so long to post this great album from Morgan Page, but with such a high influx of music these past weeks it has been hard getting everything posted. But there was no way I wasn’t going give this progressive album a post, especially by such an underrated producer, in my perspective. We have seen two of the tracks released as singles before the album was released so we were given a good taste of what was to come, and he delivered. I can honestly say I favor each track on this album equally because they all provide the same euphoric feelings and mind set after listening to them. The progressions, basslines, melodies, and quality of production on all of these tracks is amazing. Top notch house music on this album and a definite recommendation for all House music fans. You can grab this album on Beatport HERE. After the jump is Morgan Page’s latest remix that is a little more electro feeling than what is seen on the album.

Dubstep, Electronic | Deadmau5, Teknian, and Oscillator Z

Posted by on April 23, 2012

I whipped up a few mellow dubstepish, melodic, electronic tracks that were released in the past few days. Been chilling to these killer tunes, and there was a last minute surprise addition from Mr.Dead-mau-five. Deadmau5 dropping some “Cthulhustep” as he calls it. The mau5 has been expanding out of his progressive spotlight and dabbling with some new idea’s, which are always great to hear from such a respected artist.

The 17-year old producer has done it again. It seems as though Teknian has no boundaries whatsoever. Dropping two amazing tunes in the past three days. First, is a downtempo, serene original track meant to ease the mind and sooth the soul. Kick back, relax, press play and let the track do all the work. There was no preview posted to his other track, but trust me you want it. It is his Firedance VIP remix given away free through Screwloose records. You can preview the track and download by clicking the link provided below.

Teknian – Firedance VIP

I would expect this to be the last place this next artisted would be posted in, but Oscillator Z decides to tone down the filth on this next blissful track entitled Beep Boops. I’m in love with the middle melody; great vibes.

House | Archie Ft. Anna Yvette – No Apologies (Preview)

Posted by on April 22, 2012

At this point I’m done waiting for Avicii to release new tracks or previews. I will just check out Archie every few days and chances are he has released something like this or like the other past two tracks he has given out. Archie said at 2,500 likes he would preview another track, so far he is good on his word. He also stated at 3,000 likes he would give it away, talk about a sweet deal. This track speaks for itself, so make sure you visit Archie’s facebook page if you havent already.

Drum & Bass | Drum & Bass Fri…Saturday

Posted by on April 21, 2012

Drum & Bass is a little late, but for a good reason. The post I had lined up was all liquid Drum & Bass, and in my opinion this post should have some variety to it. Out the blue, not Sub Focus but Netsky dropped a sick new track preview (see what I did there). It is everything you would hope Netsky would release. ‘Come Alive’ is set to drop May 21st, which includes remixes from Culture Shock, Rockwell, and Submerse. Another preview, but not as official is from Protohype. Not named yet, the track is as awesomely heavy as something Noisia would be famous for. That is literally all the information that exists on this soon to be giant track.

For the first downloadable track, I thought to use something epic, but not epic as in what you would expect. See, this gorgeous liquid Drum & Bass track is almost 9 minutes long. Can you handle it?

Mashups | DOSVEC – Dirt Licker

Posted by on April 17, 2012

DOSVEC hit me up with a little preview of this mashup gem last week, and even unmastered I really enjoyed what I heard. Now that this is finally finished, my mind is blown. DOSVEC was explaining to me that in Australia, Greyhounds are called ‘Dirt Lickers,’ which I find to be a very suitable name for this mashup. Once this mash breaks into LMFAO’s vocals, it is just a dance-floor killer, epic finish.
