Bass, Electronic | 3LAU Feat. Bright Lights – How You Love Me (Prince Fox Remix)
Posted by Mel on June 16, 2014
You know, as a guy who has been big into starch lately, I can confidently say that Prince Fox’s remix of “How You Love Me” stands out among them all. Instead of going the typical progressive house route in remixing this track, he put his own bassy spin on it. This came out forever ago, five days to be exact, so you may have already heard it. Nonetheless, it is just too good not to post so if you haven’t yet, be sure to give this a listen.

Dubstep | Noosa – Clocktower (PatrickReza Remix)
Posted by BP on May 29, 2014
I’m one day late on this one (apologies) but it’s so lovely that it deserves a post. PatrickReza is always on point, and this remix of “Clocktower” by Noosa doesn’t fall short. I was just complaining about the lack of dubstep lately and then PatrickReza surfaced with this excellent remix. The beautiful vocals dance over low bass growls throughout this melodic dubstep masterpiece. The drops are unique because they jump around quite a bit, keeping it interesting while still maintaining that classic PatrickReza style. Lucky for us, it’s out for free download!

Deep House | Karin Park – Shine (L’amore Summer Remode)
Posted by Mel on May 18, 2014
On a special day in early July of last year, I felt like going swimming. I also felt like making my mouth taste terrible however, so I decided to go swimming in the Pacific Ocean. I am unsure if it was the large quantity of seawater that orally penetrated me (I’m not a girl btw), or that margarita I had not long afterwards, but somehow I got sick. I had a light cough and so there was just no way I was capable of making a post. A few weeks passed and on August 1st of last year, I returned from my multi-week hiatus with a post of Jeter’s remix of Coldplay’s “Clocks”. A remix for “Clocks”, or really any Coldplay song is a rare thing but Jeter delivered a great progressive house remix of Coldplay. Something done only by literally a lot of people.
After some time, George Greenwood also started producing under the name L’amore. He switched from his uptempo progressive house style to a calmer, deep house and house style. He has a few releases on his Soundcloud and they’re all good, but when he uploaded a minute long preview of his remix for the vocalist on Axwell’s latest track, Karin Park, I immediately messaged him asking when he would release it. He expedited the release and now his remode of Karin Park’s “Shine” is available for all. L’amore’s abilities as a producer are superb, with his exceptionally high production quality being especially impressive. He has a knowledge of music that many of his peers cannot match. If you enjoy the song below, check out his Soundcloud because you’ll probably enjoy his others.

Events | Rusko To Headline Bounce Boat on 5/30
Posted by Middy on May 15, 2014
After kicking off the season with The Chainsmokers on a rainy April night, Bounce Boat looks forward towards a busy summer post-memorial day with a decidedly heavier lineup, headlined by Rusko. Also on board will be Infuze and Subset so don’t expect any rest for those ears as the dubstep onslaught will be relentless all night. Kirill Was Here will be there to document it all, so expect to see some ta tas. The Chainsmokers drunkenly shouted that they wanted to sink the boat, well with this bass on the 30th, they may just take it down. Same deal as last time. Boarding begins at 6:30, departure scheduled for 8pm and return at midnight to pier 40. It is 18+ and grab your tickets here.
Ambient, Electro | Misterwives – Reflections (Gryffin Remix)
Posted by admin on April 27, 2014
This “Reflections” remix graced my inbox a few days back and after the first listen I knew it needed to be shared. However, as it usually does, life got ahead of me and my post slipped from one day to the next to the next. Then, tonight as I perused Hype Machine, staring me right in the face -as any not completed assignment does- was the Misterwive’s name along with the Gryffin remix.
The bouncy deep house sound that Gryffin implores has been a recent trend amongst producers, and combined with the Misterwives angelic vocals the song was a guaranteed success.
Enjoy, download for free, and help it keep ascending the HypeM charts!
Electronic | JMSN – Thing U Miss (The Ninetys Remix)
Posted by BP on April 25, 2014
Today was a good day, because The Ninetys put out a new remix. This is my fifth post of The Ninetys in the last year (whoops, The Ninetys rules) so you know it has got to be good! JMSN’s “Thing U Miss” is given a new twist here. It’s got a more ambient feel, which is a bit different for The Ninetys but it works really well. Speedy drums carry the piano melody along, giving it life and charisma. The track is emotional and smooth. It’s hard to categorize, but a fun listen – grab it for free!
