Albums | Now Offering Direct Downloads
Posted by BIGLIFE on August 31, 2011
Yup you read that correctly, as the title says, we’ve switched to direct downloads. What does that mean? Well you no longer have to navigate away from FNT and deal with silly ads to get your tracks. You simply need to click the blue hyperlink after the “DOWNLOAD:” and boom the download starts. And since we are dedicating this post to technical things, I’m going to take this opportunity to STRONGLY encourage you to get Google Chrome – it’s fast, compatible, and beats out other web browsers like Firefox, Safari, etc. Download it – HERE.
Mashups | Middy’s Mashups
Posted by Middy on August 30, 2011
Ok so some of these are technically bootlegs, but Middy’s bootlegs does not sound nearly as good as Middy’s mashups. I am in that picture somewhere in the front right. It was taken by Chuckie after his set and this is a bootleg he made for Identity.
Kanye West & Jay Z vs. Benny Bennasi – Satisfaction in Paris (Chuckie Pass That Dutch Bootleg) by freshnewtracks
Here is a mashup from Romain G, who mashes the popular Nicky Romero remix of Flash by Green Velvet with Flashback and Awooga from Calvin Harris and Axwell’s remix of In the Air.

This is the latest mashup from Kaskade and this is one of his best. It probably deserves its own post but this post needs to be amazing. The mashup takes Don’t Stop Dancing and adds Kissing from Alex Gaudino, which gives the beat that little extra that may have been missing in the original.
Kaskade & EDX vs. Alex Gaudino – Don’t Stop Kissing (Kaskade Mash Up) by freshnewtracks
This is a bootleg of the classic A-Trak remix of Heads Will Roll and Zero 76. The transitions are great and has been supported by many DJs including Tiesto and Martin Solvieg.

Hip-Hop, House | Flo Rida ft Taio Cruz – Hangover
Posted by Juicebox on August 26, 2011
As we explained in a post a few weeks ago, Flo Rida originally ripped Avicii’s “Levels” as the instrumental for this track…however he clearly learned that wouldn’t fly and went with a different beat. You can still hear a little of the “Levels” melody at a few different points, which makes me hate a Flo Rida a little more than I already do. To read the full controversy click here.

Dubstep | Beat Grinder, Dubsolutly, The SoniXx, and Megaclown
Posted by Mach on August 24, 2011
Nature is awesome… so are these tracks. Beat Grinder is one of those producers no one has ever heard of until they drop an awesome remix like this one. When if comes to making remixes like this the most important thing is to maintain the vocals without over powering them with the bassline. Beat Grinder did just that giving us a perfect dubstep remix.

I have been wanting to post this track for weeks now, but every time I start writing a post I completely forget. Finally I get to share with all you what is now one of my favorite dubstep tracks.

The SoniXx is one of the best up and coming producers in electronic music and no one knows it yet. Every release he has made has ended up being fire. Although we have heard many remixes of this track, The SoniXx added a little of both electro and dubstep leaving us with an awesome remix.

This last track is for true dubstep fans. The beat is very dominant, in fact I didn’t know it had vocals until I listened straight through. The vocals are at the bridge of the track, but if you love dubstep it is worth the wait. I recommend you use good speakers or headphones because as I have learned anything else just doesn’t do this track justice.

Electro, Videos | Rey Marrasquin: Fresh New Tracks
Posted by GMONEY on August 24, 2011
After my initial post about Rey Marrasquin’s art which is inspired by the music he finds right here, I was hooked to his story. For each of his video’s Rey, picks a song and uses it to inspire a piece of artwork…the best part is that he films the whole creation process and constructs a time-lapse video of the whole thing. Call me biased, but his latest masterpiece, a dedication to your truly, is my personal favorite haha.

Hip-Hop | Scarub – The California EP
Posted by BIGLIFE on August 21, 2011
I don’t know whether or not I like Scarub. So why even post him? Well because his music is almost undigestible and that intrigues me. He passed the initial “beat with a nice sample” test but his verses seem a little rough on top and I can’t tell if it’s on purpose or not. I gave him the benefit of the doubt since he sampled California Dreaming, but I’ll be curious to hear what you all think about him. Sound off in the comments section, is this “real” Hip-Hop or not?
