EDIT: Just as a reminder, the day is finally here. Greyhound and all of its futuristic glory is on Beatport so grab this masterpiece from the link provided below. Also check out some behind the scenes footage for the video below.

Swedish House Mafia — Greyhound – Beatport Link

—————————————————————————————————————————————————–

Absolut must be paying A LOT of money to Swedish House Mafia because they are getting a lot of publicity through this whole campaign with Swedish House Mafia. Also i don’t know about you, but when I first heard the song name “Greyhound” on BBC Radio One, I immediately thought of a bunch of Lady Gaga lookalikes and the Swedish House Mafia guys in Tronesque suits racing mechanical greyhounds. The video is pretty cool and helps announce the release of “Greyhound” on Monday the 12th. Swedish House Mafia debuted the new version of greyhound on Friday on Pete Tong’s Essential Selection, so be ready for another version of the track when it releases Monday. After the jump I included yet another “Somebody I Used To Know” remix, I know it is getting old, but I meant to post this 2 weeks ago so it is my fault; but take a listen as it is very well crafted, upbeat progressive house remix.

House | James Egbert – Back To New (3LAU REMIX)

Posted by on March 5, 2012

As you guys know, we’ve been backing this kid since Kap Slap first introduced us to him. 3LAU has had a ridiculous rise to fame in the past couple of months and is absolutely killing it in the college/edm scene. With his ever Beatport release coming out mid April (a remix of James Egbert’s “Back To New”) we only felt it appropriate to post the preview. There’s no doubt about it…3LAU is on his way. Also, make sure you take a second to check out his live set at Congress Theater here, trust us. What do you guys think…is 3LAU the next big thing?

Dubstep | Fine Frenzy – Near To You (The Official ER Remix)

Posted by on March 2, 2012

TOER (aka The Official ER) created a great melodic dubstep remix out of Near To You. It’s strange to say I actually know the original of this song very well, it isn’t exactly very famous. TOER warped the sound of the vocals, but I like how they turned out on this remix. Dubstep in this melodic style is just another face to the versatile genre, this remix turned out to be beautiful.

Dubstep | Fenech Soler – Demons (Minnesota Remix)

Posted by on February 1, 2012

I am dedicating this post to someone very close to me, they know who they are and thats all that matters. Your doubts and demons are only shadows of what you really are. Minnesota is one of my favorite producers, his California Dreamin’ remix is on of my favorite tracks. Demons by Fenech Soler is a great track to remix, and I am sure everyone is familiar with the Sigma remix. This remix from Minnesota is just as incredible as Sigma’s. The melodic vibe is kept the same, although I would argue Minnesota’s beat supports the vocals much better. This is all around another great remix.

Electro-House, Trance | Porter Robinson (Preview), Wolfgang Gartner, Venom, Maison & Dragen

Posted by on January 31, 2012

Fresh off Above & Beyond’s stellar performance last night, it’s needless to say – I’m still awake. I left the club diagnosed with an evermore addiction to bass thumping, fist pumping, bodies bumping syndrome. So, having been inspired by ruptured ringing ear drums, I dedicate this post to the appreciation of records like these heard in live, real energetic environments.

Arty first premiered this ID above at Pier 94 a few weeks ago, and sounds extraordinary, a truly monumental record still waiting on a release date. So below, to start your weekend off right I scoured the net for the best and amounted to nothing less than a buffet of progressive gems. All of these heaters are placed in no particular order and each deserves adequate attention. I’m sure a few are destined for immediate download.

Names is an exciting record that builds into a lively drop, get it on iTunes.

Tobi D’Eramo sounds like he’s ramping up to become something special in EDM. I predict he’s on the verge of monstrous records in the near future, let this be a reminder of his talented ear and what’s next to come.

At first I considered this track a bit mild with a mediocre synth, and later felt the underlying piano gave it that extra dimension needed so, considered it worth my ears.

Alex Engström elaborates on the soulful side of progressive with his take on Revita, rarely do you get a chilling effect from progressive records. Alex Engström manages to capitalize on that, making it my favorite track of the bunch, get it!

Ingrosso puts together a podcast not only with new tracks, but also some classics and tracks he has been playing recently that have been working really well for him out. Dirty South calls in to play “Eyes Wide Open” and we will be hearing gossip about Djs around the world next episode, as well as the vocal version “Calling”, so make sure to tune in next month.
