There is something to be respected about artists that can’t be categorized into a specific genre and Paper Diamond is definitely one of those cats. The genre spanning producer out of Boulder, Colorado is in the midsts of headlining his Cold Crush Tour. If your not able to catch him on the road and you happen to be in Vegas after March 26th you can catch him at club Surrender.
A few days back Hypetrak premiered Paper Diamonds latest offering. “Black Rose” is light, easy-going tune that rides the cusp between a Hip Hop instrumental and a downtempo electronic jawn. Okay woah, I’m just gonna cut to the chase here and say this mix is BANGIN – Keys N Krates is proving themselves as a serious predator in the music game right now. This has got pretty much every track that you need to play at your parties if you ever want anyone to have any sort of fun right here, perfectly transitioning one into the next. Granted, my favorite parts are Keys N Krates original songs, especially I Just Can’t Deny (7:25). And you know, I can’t deny that this will probably be the only thing I listen to for the rest of the weekend.
As you can see, this is the 5th installment of HARD’s Future Stars Mini-Mix Series, which has so far featured Paper Diamond, Jerome LOL & Samo Sound Boy, Green Lantern and Justin Jay. You can check out those sets and many more here (can’t promise they’ll be as good as this one though…!)

Trap isn’t exactly something I get excited over, and it tends to lowers my expectations for what I am about to listen to. Obviously I still decided to give this new original a listen, and I am really glad I did. I love how this track has a real dance vibe and not just some lame repetitious beat to start twerking your face off to. Trap is still hard for me to swallow, but this is something I can see myself enjoying on a daily basis. Mad props to Paper Diamond, Christian Rich, and Angela McCluskey for this dope original. Paper Diamond’s upcoming EP “Paragon” drops April 16th.

Ever since I saw Papaer Diamond at Red Rocks, I have been chomping at the bit for his next release, so when I saw this pop up in my inbox I had to share. “Time Flies” is an epic track from Paper Diamond and Russ B which features definitive hip-hop flavor, lots of heavy bass, and melodic electro underpinnings. Along with Paper Diamond’s trademark lightheartedness, Russ B’s vocals effortlessly flow over the track. Paper Diamond is on the rise, becoming a well-respected mainstay in the electronic community. A great song to help make your Thursday just that much better…Friday is just around the corner.

This song is a perfect remix for what The Weeknd needs on his songs. It is not too uptempo and still keeps a somewhat relaxed vibe to this track, while adding a great electro sound to the chorus and some quality synths and bass in the verses. Do not sleep on this remix from Paper Diamond.
