Next Thursday, Vice’s music site, Thump will present a free party in NYC on Pier 84 with Zedd, Duke Dumont and Tokimonsta. Sound amazing, well its free. Sound too good to be true? Well there are fireworks. You can sign up here. Need more convincing? It starts at 8. Doors are 7. It is 21+ because there is an open bar from 8-11. Did I mention an open bar? Yeah, sign up. Entry is based on first come, first serve basis for those who sign up, so get there EARLY. Brooklyn boy, Dillon Cooper, recently shared his second video single off his highly anticipated debut project, Cozmik. Similar to his first release, Survival of the Fittest, Coop flexes on a 90’s sounding beat by Muvafux. Dillon elevates from his previous releases with ingenious wordplay, a smooth hook and an non stop energy in front of the camera. Release date for the mixtape is still unknown, but I’m confident Dillon won’t release this until he reaches a state of perfection.

Happy Friday, everyone. We’ve got some great stuff going on so buckle in and get ready. First up is the awesome music video for “Zombies in Love,” the bubbly, warm weather-ready new single from Manufactured Superstars. Thanks to some seriously nifty stop-motion animation, we’re transported to a Lego galaxy far, far away, where our spacesuit-loving protagonists are busy presiding over an intergalactic rave. I won’t divulge the ending but it’s sweetly and unexpectedly heartwarming. Is Lego animation the next big trend in music videos? Too soon to tell, but I certainly hope it catches on. If you can’t get enough of this track, you’re in luck — a massive remix package is set to drop on April 9 via Big Beat / Magik Musik and we’ve got the previews below.

When they’re not busy making feel good, rub yourself music, the furry browed duo of Drew Taggart and Alex Pall, also known as The Chainsmokers, spend their days walking around NYC boasting a rather impressive 17.34 inches between the two of them (whatever that means). They have somehow managed to stay off of chat roulette and Riley Steele videos (I didn’t know who she was either. I took one for the team and after a quick 20 minute search came to the conclusion that these guys are into ugly chicks) long enough to create another remix. If there’s one thing I like more than when a below average looking girl sits next to me, but less than a lot of other things, it’s their previous remix of “Around Us”. That track was met with much acclaim, earning over 100k plays on Soundcloud. Their latest remix strays from that formula a little bit. Instead of going for an uplifting, euphoric feeling, they took Two Door Cinema Club’s “Sleep Alone” and added progressive elements while keeping the indie feel intact. The result is a high energy, summertime house track. Enjoy.

New York City native dBerrie has decided to give out the vocal mix of his single “Aquarius” released on Fedde Le Grand & Funkerman’s Flamingo Recordings for free and we could not be happier. The vocal from fellow NYC native Tatiana Owens meshes impeccably with the smooth builds and melodic peak time moments put together by the young producer. The instrumental had a ton of support from some big names, so do not hesitate this free download.

Progressive House | tyDi & Maison & Dragen ft. Toni Nielson – Walk On Water

The track originally started out as just tyDi & Toni Neilson working together in an NYC studio, but thankfully Finnish duo Maison & Dragen were added to the mix and added the energy and big room intensity it needed. The track wastes no time getting to the chase with a powerful opening that slowly tails off into a smooth piano build, letting Toni Nielson’s magnificent vocals shine, ushering in an anthemic, driving synth laden drop. Of the packed music Monday we had yesterday, this may be the gem of them all. Watch out for Maison & Dragen this year, they will be making some noise. “Walk On Water” is part of tyDi’s “When I Go” EP that features 4 originals and an outstanding remix from Arnej.
