Hip-Hop, RnB | Cocaine80s – Express OG EP
Posted by dshaq on May 30, 2012
Grab this right now! Although this is rather hard to put into one specific genre, it is unique and phenomenal. Combining captivating guitar riffs, powerful vocals, quality rhymes, and even grabbing features from two of Hip-Hop’s legends, Nas and Common, Cocaine80s makes this brand new EP a must have. My standout tracks are Take My Keys and This Can’t Be a Crime.
Hip-Hop | Nas – Daughters
Posted by J_Salzer on April 26, 2012
It’s been a minute since we had some Nas that really went back to his old days. But this is pretty dang close. Nas tells us a story catering to all of the fathers with daughters out there. And although I’m sure not many of you have daughters, you can still empathize and enjoy Nas’ flow and lyricism. Check out the lyrics on Rap Genius below along with verified explanations from Nas himself. And although I can not even begin to comprehend the feeling of being responsible for another human being, I hope you guys can enjoy this song as much as me. Nasir guides us on a tale that is both thought AND emotion envoking, and even though I don’t have kids of my own, I can only hope to one day be able to deal with the highs and lows of raising a baby girl. Monologue over.
Hip-Hop, Videos | Logic – Young Sinatra 3

(Tip: Watch in 720 or 1080p)
While anticipation has been building for Logic’s next single, his fans have been multiplying like crazy. Considering it was less than 6 months ago when the majority of us first caught wind of Logic, he has already come a very long way. Dropping one of the rawest mixtapes of 2011, Young Sinatra, Logic has more than quintupled his fans on Facebook and has become a regular favorite on almost every college blog.
Young Sintra III encompasses all of what hip-hop is and should be. Logic has the art of lyricism down to a T and once again shows just how talented he is behind the mic. Teaming up with GRVTY to bring us the newest visuals, this looks and feels like classic hip-hop. Nas & Frank Sinatra would be proud. Stream only for now, spread the video and maybe we’ll get the mp3. #BobbySoxer

Hip-Hop | K’naan – Nothing To Lose Ft. Nas
Posted by Mach on January 21, 2012
Off of K’naans upcoming EP, More Beautiful Than Silence, Nothing To Lose provides a sick beat. In my opinion the hook is a bit weak, but it’s K’naan. Besides Dusty Foot Philosopher, he’s not exactly known for any great hooks. Nas without a doubt killed it with his verse, not sure why he allows himself to be just featured. Track should read,”Nas Ft. K’naan.”

Hip-Hop | Tyga – The Motto (Remix), Amy Winehouse ft. Nas
Posted by GMONEY on November 4, 2011
After scouring the blogosphere, it seems like a lot of people are saying that Drake’s The Motto sounds awfully similar to a track that Tyga put out earlier this year called Rack City. Whether the track is recycled or not, Drizzy’s YMCM counterpart was quick to put down a verse over the track.

Here is an unreleased track featuring Nas courteous of Hot 97 from the upcoming Amy Winehouse album Lioness: Hidden Treasures, which is full of past collaborations and tracks that Amy never released. This track in particular was recorded back in 2008. Amy and Nas were close prior to her death, and it was recently confirmed that Amy’s song Me and Mr. Jones was actually about her and Nas’ relationship. Nassir Jones gets a bit prophetic on this track, spitting lines about protesting on Wall Street years before the Occupy Wall Street movement.
Hip-Hop | Machine Gun Kelly, Nas ft. Rick Ross

As if the timing of this wasn’t impeccable, given I just said MGK wouldn’t let loose any threats back to Jay Electronica. Ok, although this track is titled, “Shut The Fuck Up (STFU)”, I highly doubt it has any correlation to the so called beef with Jay Elec. With less than 2 hours til the release of MGK’s #RagePack mixtape, the kid sends a rare message for the fake fans, groupies, and ladies trying to cop a piece. #LaceUp

Nas enlists Rick Ross for the newest single off the upcoming movie, The Tower Heist. It’s nice to see soundtrack’s picking up hip-hop artists for their soundtracks once again. Donald Trump is going to be Ricky Ross gruntin’ to this one (Whatup “A”).

Hip-Hop | Nas – Nasty (Music Video)
Posted by Grubeats on October 11, 2011
Nasir returns with some vintage visuals for his latest single, “Nasty”, which will be featured on his 10th studio album, Life Is Good, which still lacks a confirmed release date. One of the greatest lyricists the game has ever seen is back with vengeance as he returns to the projects of Queens where his story began several years ago. Showcasing the lifestyle he has adopted since, Nas puffs on a fat stog’ as he lamps in the back of a Rolls before he strips away the lavish layers and proves once again that he makes music for the people. I think it’s safe to say Nasty Nas is coming back strong and we can expect big things from this album.
