In just a few days, Mysteryland USA will be returning for its third year to the grounds of Woodstock in Bethel Woods, New York, drawing in crowds from across the country to experience three packed days of good music, good people, and good vibes. The festival will feature artists from every genre, ranging from big name producers like ODESZA and Skrillex to today’s most promising up-and-comers like Golf Clap, Illenium, and Dimond Saints.
To prepare us for what to expect this weekend, Detroit-based duo Golf Clap have offered up a special early treat for fans through Mysteryland’s artist mix series. Known for their robust display of house and techno grooves, Golf Clap – aka Bryan Jones & Hugh Cleal – have developed an exclusive mix with a captivating underground feel, taking us on a one hour ride through the carefully selected tracks of Austin Welsh, Green Velvet, Justin Pak, Roger Sanchez, and more. Last week, Mysteryland USA leaked out a series of spotlight artists in anticipation of its phase two lineup. With performers like Art Department, Kerri Chandler, Ty Dolla $ign, Lido, and Joris Voorn already established, the phase two rollout is an exceptional broadcast of the festival’s endeavor to bring the sounds of today and tomorrow to fans of every genre. Attendees will now be treated to the added sounds of Ryan Hemsworth, Eagles & Butterflies, Hudson Mohawke, Matthew Dear, XXYYXX, and over 40 more artists that are all set to bring their talents to the festival’s third consecutive year in Bethel Woods, NY on June 10th-13th.
Established in 1993 in the Netherlands, the Mysteryland festival has grown exponentially as one of the premiere camping festivals in the world, and has extended its reach in the past couple of years to both Chile and the United States. Mysteryland USA and T-Mobile USA are presenting all-new, exclusive features to the 22-year-old festival that’s come stateside for it’s second year this weekend. The companies are teaming up to bring an online streaming service to Mysteryland for the first time: “Mysteryland Live Stream, Un-leashed™ By T-Mobile.” This new concept will allow fans from all over the world to tune in to the festival madness of Mysteryland through their smartphones and computers. Hosted on Beatport Live, the streaming will be happening on Saturday, May 23 and Sunday, May 24 at 6:00 PM (EDT). Fans will get the chance to experience the legendary and longest-running dance festival through this one-of-a-kind service. The streaming will include live sets from performing artists Diplo, A-Trak, Dillon Francis, Gramatik, Josh Wink, and many more, as well as exclusive interviews and behind-the-scene shots of the arts and cultural programming of the festival. Additionally, T-Mobile customers attending Mysteryland will be provided with exclusive perks, including faster and easier access to the festival grounds as well as access to a premium, VIP deck overlooking the Main Stage. The Mysteryland USA headliners and heavyweight acts are quite possibly one of the most diverse lineup of electronic acts of any festival. From Adam Beyer to Madeon to Robin Schulz to Diplo, every genre under the son is represented, but if you look even closer at the “smaller” names, there is some serious talent grumbling on the smaller stages of the festival’s second year. On the Webster Hall Presents Boys + Girls stage, the names are all impressive, and to show off what that stage will be bringing on the Sunday of Mysteryland, Sweater Beats was brought on to give a taste of what fans can expect with the second volume of the festival’s ‘Music of Mystery’ mixtape series. A glitchy, ADHD-injected medley of future cuts, Sweater Beats mixes 65+ tracks in the small space of an hour masterfully and really demonstrates what will be happening when he takes his place behind the decks. “Be prepared for the most epic music festival journey in U.S. history. Celebrating the mainstream and underground with a mind-blowing lineup.” These are the opening lines to the countdown video that Mysteryland USA released yesterday to get the world excited for what is about to go down on the same grounds that Woodstock occurred on almost 50 years ago. Last year, Mysteryland broke ground for the first United States and absolutely blew all expectiations out of the water. They plan on doing so again.
In addition to the countdown video, Mysteryland USA has announced the official set times for the Memorial Day festival that includes not only the music schedule but also the arts, culture, and food events that will occur in tandem with the music festival. On the last two nights of the festival, Mysteryland USA will be having a closing ceremony for each day to really abide by their mantra that “tomorrow is a mystery.” You can view the full schedule for Mysteryland USA 2015 here and still grab you tickets for those of you within the area (New Yorkers it is only an hour and a half for you).
