Contests, Videos | Na Palm “She Like That” Video [Announcement + Giveaway]

Posted by on March 14, 2012

Na Palm has been quiet over the past several months since the release of his last mixtape, Late At Night, but that’s not to say he hasn’t been spending countless hours in the studio writing, selecting the perfect beats, and plotting his next major move.  While “Electronic Chronic” is not far around the corner, Nay has given us the opportunity to debut his newest music video, “She Like That” featuring Bad Boy’s own, Machine Gun Kelly next Tuesday, March 20th.

Team Na Palm always likes to take care of the fans, so of course they will be offering up shipments of swag fresh from http://shopnapalm.com/ through the release of the video.  This giveaway (today through Friday) will be for a tee or tank from the shop BUT on the day of the release, there will be a grand prize winner who will get an exclusive swag bag full of Na Palm merch, a ‘pill shaped’ 1GB USB drive, CDs, and tons more (details to come).  Complete the simple directions below to be entered to win a tee or tank!

Hip-Hop, Videos | Maye Star – The Takeover [Video]

Maye Star unleashed the second single off his upcoming mixtape, Mayehem, scheduled to drop sometime in April.  Backed by some light brass, soothing strings, and melodic keys “The Takeover” gives us an introduction into what we’re about to hear from Boston’s own Maye Star.  Maye exercises his ability to rattle off words at a very fast pace, which is something I’d love to see Maye do more often.  #DreamTeam

Videos | Skrillex – Bangarang (Official Video)

Posted by on February 17, 2012

Brand spankin’ new music video for Bangarang, hot and fresh out the proverbial kitchen that is Skrillex’s manager’s Twitter feed. With cherry bombs, some Emperor Palpatine-esque electricity hands (I like Star Wars as much as Skrillex likes Peter Pan, NBD), and a climactic machine gun fight, this latest release is quite in keeping with Skrillex’s past videos — especially since the narrative once again explores the tension between right and wrong. Enjoyable video for an enjoyable song. Keep watching until the end, and be sure to snag the Bangarang EP (and its titular track) if for some reason you’ve been in space since December and don’t already have it.

Albums | Mike Stud – Critic (Prod. Brody Brown)

Posted by on February 13, 2012

After making a music video to just about every song off his Toast To Tommy mixtape, the homie Mike Stud is back with a new joint for those of you that have been feenin’ for some fresh material. The track itself is an ode to his doubters and non-believers, where he reflects on his recent accomplishments  which have a lot of people with their foot in their mouths. The video above is just a little something to hold you over till the official video drops (which you can expect in the near future). Also keep a heads up for a track from Mike and French Montana …yea, I said French Montana

Videos | Cobra Starship – Middle Finger Ft. Mac Miller

Posted by on January 21, 2012

Cobra Starship’s album Night Shades dropped this past August, and a few days ago so did his new official music video. Like the title of the track, the video reflects how much they just don’t care what everyone thinks. Not exactly an original subject, but what is anymore? I was already hooked on this track, considering how catchy it is, but this video is awesome. Best part is when Mac Miller ditches the old lady on the side-walk and she gets owned by a puddle, haha.

Dubstep, Hip-Hop, Videos | Silver Medallion – Trainwreck ft. Dunson (Music Video)

Posted by on January 18, 2012

Following up from his wildly successful collaboration with Shwayze on “All I Ask”, Silver Medallion teams up with up and comer Dunson (formerly Kenton Dunson) to create a dubstep banger entitled “Trainwreck”. The track features a haunting R&b instrumental complimented by some heavy Dubstep wobbles. Not to mention the girl in the video.. damn..

“Trainwreck is a saga of New York City bars, a story of people too in love with themselves to see past the whiskey glasses. I feel the sounds of the beat replicate the darkness and intensity of that yearning party night, when you’re looking in a girls eyes and don’t see anything there, when you’re walkin in the cold spinning drunk, when you wake up wondering why you’re life is the way it is.” – Silver Medallion

Hip-Hop, Rap, Videos | Lazee – The Way You Move

Posted by on January 2, 2012

Swedish rapper Lazee recently sent over his latest music video, The Way You Move off his recent mixtape, One Way Ticket. The track was produced by Ty Fyffe (who has worked with Drake, Rakim, Jay-Z, Method Man, and Busta Rhymes). Lazee reminds me a lot of Juelz Santana. If you’re not impressed with the video/track, just wait for the sick freestyle he rips at the end because I guarantee that’ll change your opinion.
