Videos | Lady Gaga – Do What You Want (PropaneLv Remix)
Posted by BIGLIFE on December 10, 2013
When I first heard this song, I wasn’t a big fan. It grew on me though. R. Kelly is really the highlight of the song. Portland’s PropaneLV, who’s fresh off his “Varsity Blues” album, gives us his take on mother monster’s hit song. Be sure to purchase PropaneLV’s “Varsity Blues” here.
Preview, Progressive House | Above & Beyond – Mariana Trench [Preview]
Posted by Spice on November 2, 2013
Above & Beyond premiered this at ABGT 50 and now we’ve got a full-ish version to stream at our leisure. In form and structure, “Mariana Trench” bears quite a bit of resemblance to the trio’s homage to Breaking Bad, “Walter White”; both tracks have hard, driving basslines that fade into melodic breaks, before electro-inspired builds jack the energy level back up. And is that a key change at the end? Goodness. This may be yet another departure from the group’s trancier Tri-State days but it’s sure to be an absolute monster live. No word on a release date yet so keep your eyes peeled.

Aussie duo, Those Usual Suspects have been in Dirty South’s crosshairs for some time. They were a part of the 2011 vocal anthem “Walking Alone” with Dirty South, as well as releasing “Burn Forever” late last year on Phazing Records. This time Dirty South adds his own small edit to their track “Blaze”, creating a monster for the summer season with its chunky bass line that is ideal for all venues. It already seen support from the likes of Axwell, Sebastian Ingrosso and Alesso, and Dirty South has been playing it out for a couple months now, so expect to hear more of “Blaze” in the coming months. Progressive House | DubVision – Redux
Posted by Middy on March 8, 2013
Dutch duo DubVision continue their hot string of releases coming off of their “Summertime” remix and of course their still potent “Committed to Sparkle Motion” remix and now put out their first single of the year on Spinnin Records, “Redux”. The track does not stray from the winning formula DubVision have created for themselves with a beautiful melody, grand, echoing piano and a driving, rolling bass line that all comes together in a track that should be played in a large warehouse or on a festival stage. This big room monster has already found its way into the sets of most of the top Djs, so you can expect to hear it early and often echoing around the Megastructures at Ultra.

Hip-Hop, Pop | Double Vision – Right Here
Posted by Mach on January 25, 2013
This is quite the jam from duo Double Vision. This would be their second single release from their upcoming album “Neon Shades.” The first thing about this track that caught my attention was the uplifting hook that many have grown to love from other groups such as Timeflies. Honestly if I wasn’t told who did this song I might have quickly mistaken it as a new track from Cal and Rez. The production from Lü Balz on this track is flawless, the beat matches to the verses and hook, and progresses perfectly through each part of the song. Seriously though, the hook on this track is too good. Big ups to Double Vision on this monster.

Dubstep, Preview | Underworld – Rez (Bassnectar Remix) [Preview]
Posted by Spice on January 16, 2013
Well, happy effing Wednesday. Bassnectar may be off the grid at the moment, but we’ve still got an exciting preview of what to expect from him next month. In the midst of all the blowout shows he treated fans to at the end of 2012, it seems he managed to find time to polish off a monster remix of Underworld’s 1994 tech-trance epic “Rez”. If you’re a fan of Lorin’s explosive, mind-melting soundscapes, heady builds, ferocious low-end bass and unparalleled usage of drums, you’ll be all over his treatment of this track — it’s a slow, spacey journey through many of his trademark sounds. Look for it to drop bass in your face on February 12th.
