Recent Cash Money Records signee, Caskey, drops an acapella freestyle “Be Humble” keeping his raw lyrics at the forefront. Caskey paints a colorful picture, blending into the “Paint The Trail” fence art you see as the backdrop in this video. Does anyone else feel that Caskey is too lyrically intellectual to be signed to Cash Money? Do you see him going mainstream under his new label? Every week I see a new Joseph SoMo video. And every week I’m left speechless, and if you know me, that is a rare feat. This week, SoMo covers Justin Bieber’s hit song, As Long As You Love Me, and turns it into an emotionally charged, passionate ballad. When Justin Bieber sings it, you can tell it is a commercial, mainstream sound, but when Joseph SoMo sings it, you can feel the true meaning behind the song. Often my opinion on a song changes after hearing a Joseph SoMo cover, in this case because he puts much more emphasis on the lyrics and story of the song. Myndset never disappoints, he still creates some of my favorite House and Electro-House remixes. This remix of Calvin Harris’ “Thinking About You” is amazingly beautiful. Throughout the entire track I find myself bobbing my head while I memorize the lyrics for future listenings. Very catchy and irreversibly addicting, Myndset did it again.

This is a real Mashup. These two girls did an incredible job considering how difficult it is to be able to overlap two completely different songs together by just using their voices. I am a big fan of covers of “Toxic” because of how beautiful the lyrics actually are and they always turn out so much better than Britney Spears. The lyrics of both tracks provide enough versatility that I believe allowed these two master vocalists to create this soulful cover/mashup. Big thanks to our friend NAMMO for introducing us to these two amazing singers. Make sure to show Happie and Molly some love and check out their other great works.

Brandon delivers his smooth, equality enriched lyrics over an instrumental known as “The Light” by The Album Leaf. Holy Apollo, I was not expecting this track to release today. (Fact: Apollo was also the Greek God of Music) It has seemed to be forever ago when I first listened to this track played on a Youtube video from a Bloody Beetroots live set. Then I thought it was awesome, but seriously after hearing the real deal I clearly had not fathomed the greatness of this track. Greta Svabo’s voice is absolutely beautiful, the way her vocals portray the lyrics is outstanding. The Bloody Beetroots on the other hand produced something out of a fairytale.
