Compilation, Featured, House | Top 50 Dance Tracks Of 2013 (Including 50-41)

Yes we know, you may be “top _____ of 2013” listed out, but bear with us as we present you our top 50 dance tracks of 2013. In the past we have done just big room / progressive, but here we attempt to take on the whole genre, from trap to progressive to deep house. A few ground rules and biases for how these tracks were selected. “Top” means biggest and best. So the most supported and played out tracks, first and foremost, but also our own bias as well to make this list not just a carbon copy of every other one you have read. All of us are based in the US / Canada, so our perception of what is played live is a largely US worldview, though we try and take a step back. The songs have to have been released in 2013. So tracks like “Easy”, “I Could Be The One”, “Alive”, “Clarity” and “Harlem Shake”, while all huge in 2013, won’t qualify for the list because they were released in 2012. Tough luck, but I think the artists will manage. Check out 50-41 after the jump and at the end find links for 40-31, 30-21, 20-11 and the best of the best, 10-1.

YOU ALREADY KNOW WHAT IT IS.
All the music that I listened to throughout the last 12 months enough to make me sick but somehow didn’t. The fields of music brought a bountiful yield in 2013 which allowed listeners like me to tune into more genres and artists than I could ever imagine. In order to cover all my necessary bases, I’ve drafted quite a comprehensive list (or two) missing prety much only anything Jennifer Lawrence related although if all the things she said this year were songs then they would 100% have made it on my list as well.
So, let the countdown, BEGIN!
Compilation | Dshaq’s Top Tracks of 2013
Posted by dshaq on January 6, 2014
2013 came to an end with a lot of great music being produced in the second half of the year, where most of my focus was with a lot of my tracks for the list. Being the very indecisive person I am, I decided to create more of a playlist of downloadable/non-downloadable tracks. With a wide variety of tracks in the playlist, I think it covers some of the brightest up and coming stars in each respective genre mixed with Portugal. The Man, who’s Evil Friends album was my personal choice of best album of the year. Besides the indie/alternative band, my focus for my list was with the two Chicago rappers that I have watched blow up over the past year in Chance the Rapper and Vic Mensa. Besides the two young SaveMoney stars, I began dabbling with the new and bountiful amounts of Australian producers making a name for themselves, with Flume at the forefront of that. A hard to describe genre that combines so many different complex and interesting sounds that mesh together beautifully is pretty much my best attempt at describing it. Wave Racer has to take my favorite artist of 2013 with almost every single one of his remixes and original productions getting constant playtime on my iTunes. Be on the lookout for a new What’s in Dshaq’s tape deck soon. Cheers to 2013 and hope everyone has a great 2014.
Mix | VMan’s Top 10 Tracks Of 2013

One day away from Christmas, and still 7 more days to go before the new year, so unless a banging track comes out within that time frame, these tracks stand. Obviously a lot of great music came out this year, and 10 records is too little to reflect the quality of sound that was released.
Beginning my contribution this year at FNT, I have found many tunes by known and unknown artists/producers that have captured my ears, and I’d like to dedicate this list to them. Although their name might not show up here, know that by being featured on a post alone, you’re on my ever expanding list. Music is infinity, and everyday hundreds to thousands of tracks are released that you will most likely never hear, but don’t limit yourself, keep an open mind, and be honest with your ears and your feelings! Enjoy, stay cool, and let’s make 2014 an awesome year! PEACE!
Bass, Chill, Deep House, Electronic | W8’s Top 10 Tracks of 2013

We’re almost there. A few more days and 2013 will be another one for the books. ‘Tis the time to summarize a score of minty fresh jams that didn’t fade away too quickly this year, which is saying a hell of a lot these days. This compilation could have easily had tracks replaced with others, and all would be the same to me. There is just too many to name that are equally as good but I guess narrowing it down to 10 appeals to us all. Note that this vaporwave clip Feeel by Torus above is my favorite video of the year and is why it’s there. All this said I’ll let you get on with it. Have a Happy Christmas and a Merry New Year.

One cool thing that happened to me this year was that I got hired on to write for FNT. I have followed this website for years and it has led me to mountains of great music. I’m glad that I now have the opportunity to share music with the website. This year I became a bigger fan of mixes; I love to see what artists can do when given an extended period of time within which they can be creative. Below is the list of 10 mixes that I liked the most from this past year, with some other mixes mentioned at the end that didn’t make this list based on who knows what. The list is more or less ranked in order, with mix #1 definitely being my favourite. If you don’t want to listen to all of the mixes, and don’t care what I have to say about them, then skip ahead and at least listen to the number 1 mix – Space Jams by The M Machine (hence the above, cool picture of those guys). Thanks for supporting the website by visiting it, thanks for supporting artists and their music, and thanks for reading our posts.
