Outasight recently just released their newest single Tonight is the Night on Itunes, and its hella good, but since FNT is about that free music I thought I’d post this jam “Loosen Up” thats been floating around for a week or two. All about Matt Max’s synthy pop beat lacing with Outasights rapping and singing abilities. He’s all about the pop version of hip hop and is currently featured on Pepsi’s newest ad campaign. Happy to say I’ve been following him for quite some time. Basically, he’s the man.

D-Why aka David Morris uses Canadian indie band Yukon Blonde to create this unique hip-hop alterno piece. Definitely not your average hip hop song, there are no biddies in cars or hustlers. It’s more philosophical than it is pimp, but I’ve been needing a good dosage of this. A great chill jam, give it a whirl.

Mashups | Dub Mash Productions and Stylust

School has started, which means mashup artist such as Dub Mash Productions are going to be dropping many new mashups, so they don’t have to do homework. They may only be a duo that is 16/17 years old (sorry if I missed the birthday guys), but they produce high quality mashups. I just so happened to feature one of them on my Dubstep Essentials (House Essentials Coming Very Soon).

Stylust has been mashing Hip-Hop for quite some time now, with many great mashes under his belt. I was wondering when someone was going to try and mash Pretty Light’s “Country Roads” remix, i thought about giving it a go myself. I was very skeptical about how Rich Boy would sound, but second i pressed play, I realized Stylust just added another sick mash to his resume.

Holy NBA wordplay. The Squarian King just keeps pouring them out. I’m starting to lose count, what is this like 5 tracks in 10 days? If you’re a basketball fan, you’re going to love this new cut from XV. Personally I’m a huge fan of sports inspired hip-hop songs and this is one of the best I’ve heard. Wale & J. Cole are two of my favorites for making athletic references, but XV holds his own on this one produced for anyone who ever had dreams of being a pro baller. A tight beat, a short Biggie sample, and ridiculously clever basketball wordplay sums up this track. Follow our boy on Twitter.

While we’re on the topic of sports inspired hip-hop tracks, here’s one i’ve been high on lately that some of you may have missed. Wale released this track, “Varsity Blues” on his recent mixtape, The Eleven One Eleven Theory, and just like the ’99 football flick, revolves around football.
