Dubstep | Nero – Into The Past (Preview)
Posted by Middy on April 23, 2013
There are few films generating the buzz of The Great Gatsby, and its soundtrack is a part of that. Executively produced by Jay-Z, the star-studded soundtrack has contributions from Florence & The Machine, Lana del Rey, Jay-Z, Nero, Gotye and many more. The full preview of Nero’s contribution has been released by Interscope (who is still dealing with the will.i.scam scandal), giving us a peak into their production process that has been quiet of late as they gear up for their first album since 2011 album, “Welcome Reality“.
The cinematic single from the British dubstep trio, “Into The Past”, shows the complex, melodic stylings that have made them one of the hottest dubstep groups today. The combination of emotive strings, female vocals from the third member of the trio, Alana, and a soothing low end, makes this a perfect contribution for the movie from Nero. The entire soundtrack will be released May 7th

Girl Fire, Mashups | TheRealBigChaz – Somebody That I Used To Call
Posted by BIGLIFE on May 1, 2012
When I got my hands on this GIRL FIRE track, there was really only one appropriate person to call on, Betches Love This. Why even waste my time writing something up, when they could so eloquently wrap everything up:
“Remember the time you were just like, why, God, hasn’t anyone made a mix of like all the songs that I love right now? Don’t you know how annoying it is to press next on my iTunes remote? Well betches we’re happy to tell you that your prayers have been answered and you don’t even need to get on your knees to say thank you! … to pray, that is. The only person you should be thanking today is The Real Big Chaz and obvi Fresh New Tracks. There’s a reason these people wanted us to share this song with you betches first before anyone else, and it’s because you’re going to fucking love it.
Whoever said Blackout Tuesday isn’t a thing was seriously disturbed.”

Electronic | Gotye – Somebody I Used To Know ft. Kimbra (DJ M.O.S. Remix)
Posted by Jess on March 12, 2012
Even though Gotye’s “Somebody I Used To Know” is arguably the most remixed song on the planet right now, this Indie Dance remix of it by DJ M.O.S is definitely worth a listen. It should brief new life into the song if you have found yourself sick of hearing it by now. It is a simple yet effective remix.
