Moombahton is on the rise, and honestly I love everything it has to offer. One avid promoter of the genre is Skrillex; who took Nadastrom and Dillon Francis on part of his Mothership Tour to help spread the word. TMH did a sick job turning this track into a moombah banger. I wouldn’t be surprised if some big names got a hold of this track and started dropping it live.

UNREAL Soft-core dubstep track. If you’re new to FNT (and there are lots of you so don’t feel shy about asking questions), soft core dubstep is what I like to refer to as vocal, easy on the ear, dubstep. Sure you have a few whomps here and there, but they won’t make your ears bleed. This is typically the only style you’ll see me post, I leave the rest up to Mach. This wonderful track embodies this “soft core” sub genre.

This track came from a tape that was 99% garbage with one exception, this gem. Luckily I had the tolerance to hear it out, or this wouldn’t be happening. The beauty of not extrapolating any meaning from this song makes for the best feeling.
My ears are always circulating a wide variety of genres, and thank goodness some tracks not yet subjected to one. I’ve never been one to desperately cling a genre to a particular sound, or a description to art for that matter, it’s creepy and control freakish. Art should defy description, not dampen our imagination. It remains as is, why go ahead and try to make sense of it? Ask me, that’s everything art should not be….

Paying homage to a genre being brought back, XV mixes old school R&B with a new age feel. GLC, Casey Veggies and Emilio Rojas gang up with Seven to produce “Blame Yourself.” After the hook starts youre going to download it, so maybe just save yourself some trouble and click download now? If you have failed to notice, I am a massive SmarterChild fan. This guy literally does it all, from remixing mainstream Jason Derulo heaters, to trance-fying (if that wasn’t already a word it is now btw) KOPPS LA Lights. His latest release takes on yet another genre with Rage Against The Machine’s Testify. When SmarterChild told me that he has been itching to remix this track, I really didn’t know where he would take this. Well, he manages to catapult this rock rager into the electro age with this hard hitting remix which skillfully holds onto the integrity of the original, while simultaneously invigorating it with epic dance floor flare.

Moombahton has grown on me a lot. Until recently, I just didn’t understand its popularity. Now I get how crazy this genre is, a track like this one makes me curious of the experience involved in a live Moombahton show.

This new Sam Adams leak is a straight up ELECTRO BANGER remix of Wolfgang Gartners hit “Push and Rise”. Few artists can tackle energetic and up-beat tracks like Sam who has mastered the concept of adding value to the songs he flips. There’s a lot to be said for that considering the industry is over-saturated with a handful of songs that artists recycle but fail to improve. This electro pop genre is his forte. I think we’ll be seeing an even more refined version of this out of Sam in his album which is set to drop in the near future. In fact, I can confirm that since I’ve heard a number of the cuts. As for the background of this track – I don’t have too much info aside from the fact that I heard it several months ago – long before he started working on his album material. Haters are going to hate, but try to do yourself a favor and give this an unbiased listen. (Note: this is NOT an official release, it’s just a LEAK I got my hands on)
