Hip-Hop, Videos | Sam Lachow – 80 Bars (Video)
Posted by J_Salzer on May 1, 2013
Now Sam Lachow did something dope here. As he described in the Youtube description, he created a beat compilation of all different types of beats. My favorite has to be the first one, because I love Sam on piano driven, melodic beats like Nothing’s Gonna Change. This track has something for everybody, it’s got the heavier beats, the synth drivens, the melodics, the harmonics. The video, put together by Sam is great as always, and just depicts him having as much fun as ever lurkin around the nation’s hip-hop hotbed. Check out the video above and follow Sam on twitter for some solid entertainment
Dubstep | R Rated #68 (Ft. Exclusive From Masq)
Posted by Mach on April 24, 2013
Sev and I have a real treat for our fans of R Rated this week. Filthy producer, Masq, has been kind enough to provide FNT with an epic Neuro-hop bootleg for the fans.
Amon Tobin is a legend throughout the music community, having lead to the creation of some of the most epic bass tunes. When I saw that Masq took on “Lost & Found” from Amon Tobin’s most recent album “Isam” I was instantly excited. That excitement was soon satisfied with one of the sickest remixes I have ever heard of Amon Tobin. Masq is one of the most underrated producers I have laid my ears upon, keep an eye out for him in the future.

Electro, Progressive House | Lift Off #011
Posted by Mel on April 20, 2013
You know how I said Lift Off would be a weekly thing on the last edition which was a month ago? Yeah I was kidding about that. A couple of things have gone down since the last edition. One being I saw two attractive girls holding hands which was pretty cool, the other being we have decided to end Lift Off. As well as us finding this series no longer necessary, we were also not too happy with the quality of tracks that were going up. I know you’re on the edge of tears regarding the end of this series and for that I don’t apologize because nothing is going to really change. The songs that would normally appear on Lift Off will still be posted, just not on Lift Off and when they actually come out. That’s better isn’t it? There has been a bit of a drought of good, free house music for the past couple of weeks so this should satisfy you for at least a day or so and if not you can at least have solace in the fact that you don’t drive a van.
We start things off with dBerrie who puts his own upbeat spin on Kaskade’s classic “Angel On My Shoulder”.
I’m not a huge fan of Bruno Mars. His songs are generally really sappy and sad I just can’t handle it. Luckily though, NYC based duo Filtercrush has made his “When I Was Your Man” into something worth listening to.
Included in Tjernberg’s two track EP, “Watch Then World End” is a fun and catchy song that could easily be on the radio. It can also be enjoyed while sitting on a public bench and crying.
House | Mike le Disco – Searching For Your Love
Posted by Mach on March 23, 2013
Another Disco-House freebie from Mike le Disco. Mike having already released a free track that was featured on Funky Friday, bring a classic, fun vibe with his productions. The mood is always light and full of energy in this track. Perfect way to kick off a dance filled Saturday night.
Dubstep, House | Funky Friday #3
Posted by Mach on March 8, 2013
Funky Friday is back again with some fresh grooves to get your Friday night going. Kicking off this weeks post is an awesome mix from funks future self, Aeroplane. Aeroplane has been one of the most consistant Disco-House producers for some time now. Thsi March mix is great, it isn’t too jam packed with tracks that it can’t be enjoyed, but enough to keep the party moving. A sweet download if you are looking to get moving a bit this weekend.
I have even surprised myself with all the mixes that have been involved in Funky Friday. The Knocks have come a long way since being openers for Chiddy Bang. Having been able to catch them live once myself, they tend to sneak in a little bit of the funk. Considering that they usually follow the masses, it is really cool to hear them let loose a little bit more on this mix.
This next track is technically Dubstep, but I could not get over the 80s Miami chord progression on this track. Dr. Ozi really did an awesome job on this original.
Electro-House | Wolfgang Gartner – Anaconda
Posted by Spice on March 6, 2013
With his latest release, Wolfgang Gartner demonstrates that he’s willing to separate himself from the pack and do something a bit out of the box. “Anaconda” is a bouncy, funked-out jangle of a track, replete with “Space Junk”-esque leads and house-inspired riffs. It’s a fun and high energy journey from start to finish that is sure to get you moving.

Hip-Hop | Artifakts vs Trinidad James – Upside Down Everything
Posted by W8 on March 2, 2013
Artifakts evokes an indie-esq treatment on Trinidad James’s vocals that make him sound like an OC native. I love it! Proof that with the right beat, any vocals can sound new and fun. Don’t believe me, just WATCH.
