THANK YOU! Finally a producer has taken a classic, given it a modern twist, and actually made a good remix. Too often we see producers try to take on classic tracks and completely botch them, thankfully today Justin Caruso has done the complete opposite. The indie dance vibe of this remix combined with the future fills makes this one of my favorite remixes of late…best part is, you can download it for free below! I dare you to try to listen to this without tapping your feet.

Returning from hiatus, everyone’s favorite vocalist (Collin McLoughlin, of course) launches a brand new Fetty Wap “Trap Queen” in conjunction with #McLoughlinMondays that promises a new cover every Monday evening. Shot on location in upstate NY, Collin transforms the gritty club banger into a soothing acoustic cover that’s perfect for those Monday nights. Collin McLoughlin’s “Trap Queen” cover is available on Spotify below. This is too good.

If you haven’t heard of Taylor Wise by now, it’s about time you become familiar with the rising star. With multiple releases charting as the #1 track on Hypem and his SoundCloud racking in over a million plays, this New York newcomer has been making some serious buzz. A few years back The 1975 released one of my all time favorite tracks, “Chocolate.” Taylor has given the remix a fresh makeover with a dose of pop and a nice touch of summer. Roll the windows down and turn your speakers up, this is the track for your summer.

DO SOMETHING

Alternative, Deep House | Jahkoy – Still In Love (Vasta Remix)

Posted by on July 21, 2015

One of my favorite two artist right now Jahkoy and Vasta on one record, this is a dream come true. Jahkoy, who is a Toronto native is probably the most talented up and coming RnB acts on the scene now and is definitely about to have his year. Vasta, who I spotted a few months ago is working his way up the ranks in the dance world taking on an impressive set of remixes including The Chainsmokers last single as well as up and coming stars XYLO. Either way, make sure you grab this release for FREE and definitely keep an eye on Vasta as he selects some of the best artists to remix!

Within the last five years, dance music has experienced an incredible growth in popularity. Raves have evolved from illegal parties held at grungy warehouses, to massive spectacles featuring performers, fireworks, awe-inspiring stages, and hundreds of performing artists, while electronic artists have become superstars and celebrities, rather than backroom producers. Although electronic music has a lengthy past, the genre has never been in the limelight, and has never crossed over into the mainstream – until now. With electronic music sitting firmly in the spotlight, and plenty of media attention on the negative aspects of dance music, it’s become more and more important to open up a dialogue about how electronic music can positively impact society, and Insomniac is championing this movement with the EDMbiz Conference & Expo.

Chill | Alesso gives us a treat with a slowed version of “Cool”

Love when producers do stuff like this, especially the big guys like Alesso. He gives his fans a surprise with a twist on his own hit, “Cool”. Really diggin this version, nice and slow to just kick back and listen to. Pretty crazy that this song can maintain its composure being transitioned from a main stage favorite to a song you’d listen to on a Sunday chillen on the porch. Alesso shows that he can do it all with this rendition. Check it out.
