Progressive House | Avicii vs Nicky Romero – I Could Be One
Posted by Middy on December 29, 2012
You know the song by now. The naming saga is about as long as the time it took to get released. It was first premiered by Avicii back in November of last year at the DC Armory and was given the fan name “Fuck School”. After a little while it was given the official name “Nicktim”, a clever combination of both producer’s names. When the vocals were added the track was at last given its final name “I Could Be The One”. I was down on the slightly autotuned vocals at first, but they have slowly grown on me. The track has lost some of the original star power it had when it was first premiered, but the quality is still there and will remain a big, highly played track throughout winter. It also comes with a few remixes and the instrumental mix for those who can’t stand the vocals. I had high hopes for the Audrio, formerly known as Adstedt, as his remix seems to lack the same power that his upcoming track “Humans” has, though it does have the same grungy, acid style. Didrick, a rather mysterious person because as of this writing joined Facebook not 19 hours ago, adds a grinding low end and adds more distortion to the melody and the vocals. The video is rather hilarious as well.

Progressive House | 2Elements – Tell Me Boy (Tradelove Remix)
Posted by ATexas on December 19, 2012

Is anybody else a fan of disco house? Something to just dance to. Some high pitched vocals. Some easy beat. Tradelove remixed this beat, as have many other artist, but Tradelove made it something worth listening to and are currently on Beatports Top 100 Tracks. It’s generally just feel good music that you will sing when you are alone in the car, but I don’t think you’ll be able to reach this guys pitch. Jesus, it legit sounds like someone may of kicked him in the gnads, but its still enjoyable. I know that is weird, but get over it. Or not. Whatever.
Featured, Mashups, Videos | Happie Hoffman & Molly Williams – Feels Like It’s Toxic (Alex Clare v Britney Spears)
Posted by Mach on November 21, 2012
This is a real Mashup. These two girls did an incredible job considering how difficult it is to be able to overlap two completely different songs together by just using their voices. I am a big fan of covers of “Toxic” because of how beautiful the lyrics actually are and they always turn out so much better than Britney Spears. The lyrics of both tracks provide enough versatility that I believe allowed these two master vocalists to create this soulful cover/mashup. Big thanks to our friend NAMMO for introducing us to these two amazing singers. Make sure to show Happie and Molly some love and check out their other great works.

Drum & Bass | Lauren Aquilina – Fools (Flyte One Remix)
Posted by Mach on November 8, 2012
Even if you are not a fan of Drum & Bass, this remix is really easy to listen to. This is Flyte One’s official remix for Lauren Aquilina’s EP, “Fools.” Flyte One allowed to the vocals to maintain their grace while adding in a different yet awesome kind of melodic style. Just an all around incredible Drum & Bass remix.

Genre is not a word in Aer’s vocabulary. The combination of sounds they combine always leaves me coming back for more. Their laid back sound and catchy choruses have allowed them to build up a quality and solid fan base. What we have here are some visuals to one of their standout tracks of their latest album, The Bright Side, which you can buy HERE. Keep up with the Fresh Aer Movement and support them on Facebook and Twitter below.
