Hip-Hop, Videos | Logic – Nasty (Prod. Don Cannon)
Posted by Mach on April 23, 2013
Produced by none other than legend Don Cannon, Logic spits the “Nasty” on this new track. The mic killer, just having announced his signing to Def Jam, shows us that he knows his time to shine is here and nothing is going to stand in his way. As a fan, I am sure I am not the only one who has been waiting for his time to come. “Nasty” will be available for free download off his upcoming mixtape “Welcome To Forever,” set to release on May 7th.
FYI | will.i.am owns up to the Theft of Arty & Mat Zo’s “Rebound”
Posted by Middy on April 23, 2013
After the internet rightfully made a big fuss about will.i.scam’s theft and Chris Brown’s beat down of Mat Zo & Arty’s massive single “Rebound” without anybody’s permission, he took to the radio to comment on what he was thinking or not when he made the song. With a long history of ripping others off, deflecting these type of questions would be second nature to him, like a politician in a debate.
He went on Kiss FM to clear things up as to why he felt it was ok to take whole sections of another song and add them to his.
Arty is a dope producer so I wrote this song to Rebound this last year. I got in touch with Arty and showed it to him… but something happened and hopefully we can resolve the issue. It’s sad that it’s turned into a fiasco but hopefully it’s resolved, because I’m a fan of those guys. I contacted them last year and we’re fixing it now.
So I guess what this means is that if will.i.scam is a fan of your music, your tunes are totally free game for shameless “sampling”. If I was a producer, like Hardwell, I would conduct a stealth ninja mission and delete all of my music from his computer, back up hard drives and all USBs, and then Men in Black mind wipe him so he never knew your music existed. Then repeat again in a year. He STILL may get to your music in that time, but this seems like it would be the only way.
In terms of this situation, unless Arty & Mat Zo are willing to fight Interscope to have the song pulled from the album, which seems pretty unrealistic since it was already released and in stores all over the country and soon the world, they will just have to settle for a FATA$$ paycheck.

Drum & Bass | Wolftek Ft. Jessika Dawn – Until The End (Vocal Mix)
Posted by Mach on April 19, 2013
I have been a big fan of Wolftek’s Liquid Drum & Bass for quite some time. I think he happens to be one of the best Liquid producers out there right now. This new free single with vocalist Jessika Dawn is breathtaking. I love the use of the XX sounding instrumentals on this, they really carry out the emotion from Jessika Dawn’s voice. Make sure you show Wolftek and Jessika Dawn some love on Facebook, they are more than deserving of it.

Hip-Hop, Videos | Marc Goone – Chasing Rainbows ft. Gloria Kim (prod. Zuckswithit)

Marc Goone’s latest video, a 5 and a half minute Vine. is not friendly for seizure prone people. Pictures of the Marc Goone are flashing while he is rapping over the quick moving slideshow. The beat, crafted by Aaron Zuckerman aka Zuckswithit is phenomenal as always. I’m always a fan of the Zucks-Goone collaboration. Marc Goone’s unique style of rapping and Zuck’s creative beats always set the stage for a interesting, fantastic piece of music. Check out the video above, and if you don’t follow Marc already on Twitter, do it, you won’t regret it.
Dubstep, Electronic | Crywolf – Ghosts EP
Posted by Mel on April 10, 2013
Aside from the rather lackluster Brazzers update, today was a pretty good day. Not only did my mom buy me Abercrombie cologne for some reason, but Crywolf’s new EP finally dropped. I should preface this by saying I am not a huge fan of dubstep. In fact, the last dubstep song I remember downloading was two years ago and it was from the master of dubstep, the one true god, Skrillex. Scary Monsters And Nice Sprites was it. Now just because I don’t download any doesn’t mean I don’t appreciate a good dubstep song. Luckily though, Crywolf’s EP spans multiple genres which range from dubstep to chill electronic. Justin Phillips, aka Crywolf, does his own vocals which for me is the highlight of the EP. My favorite track is easily “Ghosts”, primarily because his vocals are really put on display here and is complimented perfectly by a chill instrumental. “The Moon Is Falling Down” and “The Home We Made Pt. II” are available as free downloads on his Facebook. Be sure to grab the rest of the EP on iTunes.

Dubstep, Electro-House, Mix | Going Quantum: SPACE LACES Guest Mix

I’m usually not a fan of listening to long mixes, but whenever you’re dealing with an artist who has no original releases under his name and is so exclusive, but somehow manages to have one of the craziest fan followings it’s hard to not post it. SPACE LACES is probably one of the biggest up and coming artist in the EDM scene, whether you knew about him a while ago, or are just learning about him this is just the beginning. This artist creates everything from nu-disco, to glitch, to dirty electro, all the way to the heaviest dubstep tracks you have ever imagined. People who follow him get up everyday just hoping for a release from this one of a kind artist. I would recommend everyone check him out because it is only a matter of time before his name is everywhere in the EDM world.
