Deep House | Funkerman – Speed Up (Robby East Remix)
Posted by BIGLIFE on November 5, 2014
This song should have a million views. It’s too good. It’s a shame people are stuck on progressive house (yuck) because Robby East has a real masterpiece on his hands. Premiered a few weeks ago on “Heldeep Radio” Robby East is an up-and-comer from the Netherlands signed to Spinnin’ Records. Keep your eyes on this young gun, I think he has more ammo in the chamber. Tune and a half!
House | Tube & Berger – Set It Off (Kryder Remix)
Posted by BIGLIFE on November 1, 2014
Tube and Berger’s “Set If Off” is an essential tune. Premiered on BBC Radio 1, Kryder’s future house remix (that so happens to be featured on Oliver Heldens new “Heldeep Radio Vol. 22“) is exceptional. If I were a DJ (I’m not) I would put this in my set immediately. It’s that good. Hats off to Kryder. He has a special remix on his hands. No release date just yet. Stay tuned to this space for more.
Abstract Hip-Hop, Chill, Electro, Videos | Hozyboy – Woods

Too be honest, this dude came out of nowhere. One minute I was aimlessly looking at nothing on the internet and the next I was the most stoked I’ve been in a while to say the least. At first it was just the music video, displayed above, that turnt me up. On my Reddit feed it read “VISUAL MINDBLOWING VIDEO & MUSIC”, “Wait for the watermelon to explode after the asian man plays the flute”, and “Cartoons, nature, and asian man, and a watermelon. Honey for your eyes” so I was intrigued – which he definitely wasn’t lying once I got to actually watching the music video. F****** brilliant. I was then so stoked off the music video that I found a SoundCloud link and clicked it instantly. Not only is “Woods” a vibing, feel good beat, his other compositions are crazy impressive as well. Hozy is 100% worth the look with other dope songs like “You Just Got Abducted by Some Turnt Up Aliens” and “Retro Heartbreak“; It’ll be exciting to see what this aspiring artist will come up with next.
Hip-Hop, Videos | OnCue – This View From Here
Posted by Grubeats on July 9, 2014
Think this kid has a chip on his shoulder? That’s an understatement. Cuey wants to drop this album even more than you and I want to hear it. No doubt has it been a long road, but I can finally taste it. As you’ll see in his newest video, Cue is rapping with an edge. He’s hungry. He’s boiling over. He’s ready to prove the naysayers wrong and elevate himself as one of the elite. “This View From Here” is exactly what I’ve been waiting for. You can see the anticipation for this album burning through his eyes and ringing through his voice. With Just Blaze signed on as the executive producer for the album, I can guarantee this will be one of the highlights of 2014.
Angry Young Man, September 3rd. Mark your calendars.
Hip-Hop, Rap | Joey Purp – Don’t Stop
Posted by admin on May 31, 2014
By this time, most of you should be familiar with the Chicago rap-group by the name of Save Money. After the success of frontman Chance the Rapper, the floodgates were opened for the Save Money team. Vic Mensa soon followed in suit, achieving a coveted spot on the XXL Freshman cover, and slowly making his way to the mainstream.
Now, all eyes are peeled waiting for the next talented artist to burst out of the Chicago bubble. Could it be Joey Purp? Quite possibly. He provides an exemplary juxtaposition of Chicago drill music, combatting the violence in the city and doing his part to make a positive impact. While at the same time his voice does not blend in with those of Chance and Vic, making it more interesting and less recycled.
Watch above his newest offering, “Don’t Stop”. I could make a pun here about replaying the song and not stopping it, but I’ll refrain. You’re welcome.
