Artyom Stolyarov, everyone’s favorite Ruski on the block, is by and large well on a path to becoming a godfather of electronic music. As I let my iTunes hit autodrive (read: shuffle) the chilling vocals from “Bliss” transported me back in time to a place that had slowly faded into a distant memory. Arty has journeyed to every corner of this world, quickly transforming himself into an international icon and becoming an inspiration for dreamers globally. As 2014 comes to an end he’s shown no signs of slowing down, with every year since 2009 pushing him further into the spotlight. If you’re in the LA area this week, scope out Arty at Exchange L.A. tomorrow night! (Wednesday November 26, 2014). Click on the jump for more!

“Never Done This” is the first track off Michigan State University’s own Quinn’s upcoming EP Change Of Scenery, which is the follow up to his acclaimed mixtape Shlup. Blending electronic music with soul vibes, think Jon Bellion meets Hoodie Allen in an organic manner, Quinn speaks his mind and heart over an ayokay produced beat, who captured the moment and composed some real soul music with this one, I’m def vibing to it, this is a must listen and a must download!

Yoo, Cazzette just released an excellent house record “Blind Heart,” which dabbles in between deep house and progressive, which is the vibe electronic music is headed towards, and personally I’ve got that fever. I wish I knew who was behind the vocals, almost tempted to say Seinabo Sey, but I’m most likely wrong, either way, this track has soul, and for a rainy Thursday, you can let your head down and lose it to the music, this is a must listen, check the Spotify exclusivity!

Electronic | Nightcall ft. Dreamhour – Dead V (Vocal Version)
Posted by Mel on March 25, 2014
A lot of the time there are songs that you can put on and then go prep a stew or caress the face of a child and you will still be able to appreciate it. That is not the case with this song. This song deserves your full attention. Nightcall is a Swedish producer of cinematic electronic music and recently released a vocal version of his awesome “Dead V”. The original was musically outstanding and the vocals just push it over the top.

Electronic | Ninth Parallel – Verloren
Posted by Mel on February 9, 2014
Once in a while I’ll come across a song that is just so incredibly well done that a little bit of wee comes right out of my willy. Born on the fourth of July, 1776 (according to his Facebook page), Ninth Parallel is the producer behind that latest song. “Verloren” is an exceptionally well written song with great progression. Its uniqueness amongst electronic music is rivalled only by that of a teenage girl that doesn’t work at either a restaurant or a mall. He lists his influences as Porter Robinson, Mat Zo and Madeon. If you were to put all those styles together, this track would be the result. This song takes you on a journey from start to finish. I’m going to have to give a quick shoutout to my homeboy Jimmy John and The Long Schlong for reposting this on Soundcloud because I would never have come across it otherwise. Ninth Parallel and this track in particular has been one of my happiest musical discoveries of the year so far. He hasn’t released many tracks but after one like this it is clear that he has a huge amount of talent.
