Dubstep | jOBOT, Oscillator Z, Chrispy, and SKisM
Posted by Mach on September 9, 2011
For those of you who have already pressed play, I know what you are thinking. I thought the same thing, “Not as heavy or dubby as I expected, but I still like it.” This track is a perfect balance of old school meets new school, great party starter.

I love it when dubstep artist pick old school vocals to remix. Especially when they are followed by a cool, original sounding drop.

I can feel the fear that Chrispy must have meant for us to feel while listening to this HEAVY masterpiece. Watch out for that drop, it could kill you…or make you deaf.

This remix is set to release on Porter Robinson’s upcoming EP, “SPITFIRE,” Sept. 13th on Beatport. It will be the first release from Skrillex’s new label, OWSLA. This remix is insane, if dubstep artists received belts like in Karate, SKisM would be a Chuck Norris. I believe that is a real belt, if not, take it up with Chuck’s fist.

Hip-Hop, Pop, Videos | Timeflies – “Turn It Up”
Posted by Mach on September 7, 2011
Timeflies has really grown on me in the past few months. This track has completely sold me on them. I was shocked to hear the dubstep, and of course the vocals are nothing short of incredible. They may have dropped the track here on iTunes, but also gave out a free copy for all. It is up to you how you support them, but either way I hope everyone grabs this great track. Their new mixtape, “The Scotch Tape,” is dropping, I quote, “very, very soon.”

Electro, Mashups | Axel Bauer & Lanford – One More Disposition While Doing Crime
Posted by BIGLIFE on September 6, 2011
This song is phenomenal – perfect for the avid FNT listener whose looking to balance out his or her bass-heavy iTunes library (yes I’m aware we’ve been hitting you with a lot of dubstep and hard electro as of late). The aptly titled song features various bits and pieces from some of your favorite tracks including Daft Punk’s “One More Time”, Temper Trap’s “Sweet Disposition” remix, and Adrian Lux’s “Teenage Crime”. Incredibly, the duo seamlessly blends the tracks under a perfect balance between the beat and vocals.Don’t pass this one up and keep an eye on these two, they’ll be climbing the ranks in no time. Hat tip to DJ Nat Dodge on this one.

Dubstep | xKore Ft. Zoe & Naomi – Need You (Centra Remix)
Posted by Mach on September 4, 2011
This remix is incredible, reminds me of Gemini’s style of dubstep. It is almost hard electro, but you know that in reality this is just some epic dubstep. Centra did a sick job on this remix. If you don’t have this, your dubstep library is not complete.

Dubstep | Little Jinder – Without You (Original Mix)
Posted by BIGLIFE on September 2, 2011

Here’s a little something I’ve been holding onto for a time like this as in I’m rearing to join the crowds at Electric Zoo but also don’t want to leave our beloved fans hanging. This is a fantastic vocal dubstep track that’s a little on the softer side, which is why I dig it.
If you’re at Electric Zoo be sure to tweet at us, Gmoney and Biglife are in the house!
Drum & Bass | The Crystal Method Ft. The Heavy – “Play For Real” (Dirtyphonics Remix)
Posted by Mach on September 1, 2011
The Dirtyphonics always surprise me, first its dubstep, then electro, and really just all over the place. This is the first drum & bass production I have heard from them and it is awesome. Adding a little bit of a dubstep/drumstep flavor to the track, this remix is nuts.
