I know what most of you are thinking. You’re angry at me for posting a remix to 5AM in Toronto, it’s like three weeks late, I get it. But, this is my first exposure to No Trace’s music and I was shocked. When I got a message from a 16 year old, yes, I said 16 year old, on Facebook, I was expecting the worst. What I got though, was the opposite. Now, you can’t be comparing these guys to Drake, Chance, Cole, etc., yet. They’re 16. They have mad potential and the song is dope. Trap isn’t exactly something I get excited over, and it tends to lowers my expectations for what I am about to listen to. Obviously I still decided to give this new original a listen, and I am really glad I did. I love how this track has a real dance vibe and not just some lame repetitious beat to start twerking your face off to. Trap is still hard for me to swallow, but this is something I can see myself enjoying on a daily basis. Mad props to Paper Diamond, Christian Rich, and Angela McCluskey for this dope original. Paper Diamond’s upcoming EP “Paragon” drops April 16th.

Reso has been standing out so much more than he ever has a producer. Not only has his talent been noticed by many more but even when listening to his new tracks I can hear the progression he has made in his skills. “When it Drop” is a grimy Neuro-Hop track. I hope to God that Reso isn’t trolling us when he says this is a freebie for April Fools. I don’t feel like being teased with a track as dope as this.

Recently came across Nexus, an extremely dope producer based out of South Florida. Although released a month ago, his song “Supernova” caught my ear the most (which was premiered recently on VIBE). The melodies in the song are incredible and coupled with the heavy bass, this song is like an unexpected adventure for your ears. I also included his song “Radiant” as a bonus.
