Dubstep, Glitch | Sambassadeur – Memories (Owen Bones Remix)
Posted by Mach on December 22, 2012
Up and coming producer Owen Bones delivers an awesome electro… um… abstract, bassy thing? Well the genre really isn’t important, haha. Having a little bit of everything thrown into this track, Owen Bones created something worth more than a single listen in one sitting. Aspiring to work with Diplo, Owen Bones is an 18 year old Chicago native who has been producing for only a year now. I think he would be an awesome Purple Bass producer if he committed to the style. Owen has incredibly creative vibes throughout this entire remix.

Chill, Throwbacks | Diplo – Got Stoned and Mixed Really Old Records for Half an Hour
Posted by CHAZZZ on October 24, 2012
Yes, I know it’s not Thursday yet, but sorry to all you Twitter and Instagram freaks out there, I couldn’t wait for #TBT (Throwback Thursday) to post this one. The title really says it all, Diplo got stoned and mixed really old records for half an hour. Don’t even try to tell me this funky, psychedelic mix of old jams isn’t the best early #TBT gift ever. Give this one a listen (and maybe get stoned) when you have 30 minutes to enjoy the whole thing and soak up how stoned Diplo really must have been to throw this together for us. Sound off in the comments section and let me know what your favorite old song he used was. Enjoy.

Hip-Hop, Reggae | J Cole & Major Lazer – Get Free ColeWorld
Posted by Mach on September 27, 2012
Though Switch dropped from the duo that was Major Lazer, Diplo has kept the reggae vibed project going, adding the likes of ‘Snoop Lion, Walshy Fire, and Jillionaire. “Get Free” was released earlier this year and the feed back has been worldly positive. J Cole and Diplo went to work together to retrofit this track for J Cole to drop a few sweet verses. This wouldn’t be the first time J Cole rapped over island vibes and again he shows he isn’t like any other rapper out there. “Get Free” compliments him perfectly as he owns the mic throughout the track. This is a must have for the J Cole collection.
Reggae | Collie Buddz – Ganja Pipe
Posted by Mach on September 6, 2012
The Berme Gangsta is back in true Bermudian Rasta style. Collie Buddz shows his long love for cannabis in this short bit dedication to that “high grade.” He has been touring like crazy over this past year making an appearance at Lollapalooza and Ouside Lands. Collie Buddz is even featured on Diplo and Snoop Dogg’s upcoming project, Snoop Lion. This quick track is a great listen, even if you have never found yourself dabbling in the third-eyed dark arts.
