First the release date on iTunes for “Fire and Ice” has been pushed up to the 24th so the excruciating wait for the album is lessened by a day. This video goes behind the scenes in how certain songs were made and how collaborations such as the Skrillex and Dada Life collabs came about. It is always interesting to see an artist work in the studio and how it all comes together. Pre-order the CD on iTunes HERE, or even better get the physical copy or get it on Beatport on November 8th because iTunes only gives about 10% to the artists.
I have two Halloween songs for you guys from Cazzette and Albin Myers. The first from Cazzette takes vocal samples from the 1980s classic “The Shining” and makes a great heavy electro track. The second is an Albin Myers take on the classic Halloween movie main theme.

After chatting with Funk Master Flex on Hot 97 about alleged romance with Serena Williams and a possible beef with Pusha-T, Drizzy dropped another T-Minus produced single off his up coming project, Take Care. For those of you that didn’t catch the news last week, Drake pushed back the date of his sophomore album to November 15th.

I love this old school sound on hip-hop. You don’t even have to follow the lyrics to know who ever is rapping is keeping it real. I did listen to the lyrics though, not really up to date on who Accent is, but I’m feeling the flow he has got going on this beat. Kinetics kills it as always. Love the hook, might be an acquired taste though. I think it’s Kinetics, but don’t hold me to it.

Nasir returns with some vintage visuals for his latest single, “Nasty”, which will be featured on his 10th studio album, Life Is Good, which still lacks a confirmed release date. One of the greatest lyricists the game has ever seen is back with vengeance as he returns to the projects of Queens where his story began several years ago. Showcasing the lifestyle he has adopted since, Nas puffs on a fat stog’ as he lamps in the back of a Rolls before he strips away the lavish layers and proves once again that he makes music for the people. I think it’s safe to say Nasty Nas is coming back strong and we can expect big things from this album.

Albums, Hip-Hop, RnB | The Weeknd – Initiation, Drake Pushes Back “Take Care”

If there’s one thing we know about The Weeknd, its to savor a track when he puts one out because singles from him come few and far in between. Since his last project, Thursday, we haven’t heard much from the mysterious RnB singer. Not to put Abel Tesfaye in a box but this track is something a little different than what we’re used to hearing from the Toronto native, being that he tones down the singing a bit and spits a few rhymes. Speaking of Toronto, Weeknd supporter, Drake, just stated via his OVO blog that he will be pushing the release date of Take Care to November 15th due to some setbacks with getting samples cleared for the album.

With Skrillex’s mysterious new album being held over our heads currently, I felt it was only right to post up his newest tour video. I also identified all the tracks in the video, and I provided downloads for the tracks below. Skrillex is seriously living the life right now. He can do what ever he wants, and his fans love him even more for it. No word yet on the drop date for his new album, but no doubt until it drops I will check everyday.

I know I posted this before, but it got lost in the server switch. This collaboration between Avicii and Nicky Romero that was hinted at on twitter recently has recently surfaced at Nocturnal Wonderland and it is going to be huge. No word on release date yet. These Dimitri Vangelis & Wyman remixes are some quality progressive house songs. The first is an absolute bomb and I have had it on repeat ever since I got it. The second remix is another bomb with some female vocals and uplifting synths.
