Listen, I’m no Family Guy groupie, nor have I ever heard of this dude Mikey Bolts until my buddy introduced him to me over the weekend, but he has some serious talent. If you breathe Oxygen, you should be able to recognize at least two of these voices. Do I think it’s kind of strange how his facial expressions look eerily like the cartoons themselves? Yes, without a doubt. Do I wish I could pull off those impersonations? Yes, without a doubt. Any way you cut it, this Bolts kid has skills. Check out his YouTube channel for more Family Guy covers.
Albums | Above & Beyond Tugs At The Heartstrings With Acoustic Album
Posted by Middy on February 5, 2014
Above & Beyond first made the acoustic dream a reality back in June with 4 sold-out shows at London’s Porchester Hall and then again with two sold-out shows at the Los Angeles Greek Theater, where a Sonny Moore decided to sit in on bass for a tune. The trio described the impetus for creating the album “The acoustic project is a reconnection with the musicians that we were before we met”. As they have said, Above & Beyond are musicians who craft their electronic tracks using instruments and then create the parts from their instrumentation. Knowing that, such an endeavor not only seems possible, it seems likely that Tony, Paavo and Jono would come together to create this stunning piece of work. Watch / listen to the live performance at Porchester Hall and read on for the rest of the review. Grab the album on iTunes or their website, or enter our contest for a chance to win a copy plus other merch.
Chill, Electronic | Vancouver Sleep Clinic & GXNXVS – Hold On We’re Going Home (Drake Cover)
Posted by BP on January 28, 2014

I know we’ve all heard a lot of Drake covers and remixes recently, but Vancouver Sleep Clinic & GXNXVS’s cover is a standout. They did their own vocals, and basically flipped the whole song around. Their take on the song is incredibly refreshing. Chill and eerie, the bass filled choruses will take your mind to another place. They’ve taken experimental R&B to another level. This moody and sultry track is definitely worth a listen, or five.

Just like that, an artist gets hot and the deluge of remixes and covers begins. Passenger has quickly fallen into that category, but Parisian producer Arias adds a worthy contribution that cuts right through the rest. Arias brings his unique progressive style seen on his tracks this year to this remix, completely refitting the instrumental to his vision and molding the vocals to his sound. He is offering this one up as a freebee to thank everyone for the great year he had, so grab it now!

Posted by yabishcic on October 17, 2013
Okay, so I know a lot of covers and remixes of this song have been exponentially blogged on every single site but for the sake of this one, this remix is going up. It’s of the best integration of Hip Hop and R&B that I’ve heard in awhile, and lets be honest, the original is pretty catchy to begin with. Check it.
