I am proud to premiere the raunchy, NSFW visuals for Jamaican R&B artist Spenz’s “Do Me Now”, a reinterpretation of the popular Hit-Boy-produced song by K.Roosevelt that we premiered back in May. As I mentioned before, it’s rare to find an artist who really understands how to improve upon an original, which is exactly what Spenz does, with his smoother, more soulful delivery and strong ear for melody. Look out for more from this talented singer as he readies his debut release due out this November.
Hip-Hop | Joey Bada$$ – Summer Knights (Mixtape)
Posted by dshaq on July 2, 2013
The sophomore mixtape from New York’s Joey Badass has finally arrived. To be personally honest the tape didn’t really do it for me. I enjoy the 90s sound that Joey has but with this tape, it didn’t bring that 1999 vibe that made Joey so big. Most of the songs off Summer Knights follow a more bassline heavy type that embrace his raps. Don’t get me wrong, I could listen to Joey’s raps for days but with a follow up mixtape, but I would have liked to see more diversity amongst the songs. All and all it definitely is still a must listen and download. I’m very interested to see where Joey goes from here, especially with who he signs with. Get familiar with Mr. Bada$$, because I he’s definitely one of the new faces of hip hop.
Hip-Hop, Rap | No Trace – The Wakeup Call (Mixtape)
Posted by J_Salzer on June 26, 2013
Be weary folks, I am in fact posting a mixtape by two 16 year old rappers. I know that’s an immediate turn off for most of you, and I respect that, but if you can, lend your ears to the two youngesters not legally allowed to buy a pack of cigarettes from 7/11. The duo of No Trace has released their sophomore effort, which is perfect because they are also sophomores in high school. Now when you listen through this tape, which I would reccomend, be aware that some of their music might hit you as a tad immature or boyish, but that’s because they’re just that. Forget the lack of beautiful album artwork and other aesthetics and just listen to the raw talent of these kids. These two 16 year olds are setting themselves up for a rap career, the potential is there, and they will likely be cashing in on it in the years to come. So grab the mixtape below and be on the lookout for these two making moves.

Hip-Hop, Rap, Videos | Raz Simone – These Kids Throw Rocks
Posted by admin on June 3, 2013
“She got a big booty, so I call her big booty.”
“Popped a molly, I’m sweatin’, woo!”
“You say no to rachet pussy, Juicy J can’t.”
What do these three lines have in common? They are all some of the most widely recited and remembered lines in hip-hop these past few months. What else do they have in common? They have absolutely zero substance, thought, or profundity to them.
Raz Simone on the other hand takes a different approach to his music. With careful thought and emotion poured in to each line, listeners are drawn in and kept hooked throughout every song, mixtape and album. After the success of his most recent EP, Solomon Samuel Simone, Raz decided to take to the camera and capture more in depth one of the offerings from the tape.
The video for “These Kids Throw Rocks” has hit the internet and is quite impressive.
Here’s what Raz had to say: “This video is self directed and edited for a more personal approach to visualize the song. After recent events in my life the lyrics hit even harder than when I initially wrote them.”
I hope you enjoy and be sure to grab the full Solomon Samuel Simone EP here, if you haven’t already!
